NEW YORK (www.sawrecordings.com/ www.hectorromero.com) - On the heals of his first World Tour, and successful summer European tour, HECTOR ROMERO signs a pact with Sullivan Room to play the first Friday of each month. The residency will begin October 22 this Friday with a pre-party, and the official residency will begin in 2 weeks on Nov. 5th. Romero is one of the hottest newcomers to the World DJ scene.
However in NYC, he is not a new comer but one of New York's underground staples.

Def Mix his management for the past 2 years, also manages David Morales, Frankie Knuckles and Satoshi Tomiie. Hector Romero who has worked and toured with each has found being managed by Def Mix has catapulted him into the international arena of DJ's. Romero is also Label Manager of the edgy Electronic music company, SAW RECORDINGS. Romero was introduced to International community with SAW's Undulation 1 album which was mixed with friend and SAW partner Satoshi Tomiie.
When asked what type of music he plays? Romero said 'A good funky record is a good funky record. I guess you could say I play somewhere in the middle progressive and house, but with some hot sauce sprinkled over the top'.

Sullivan Room's owner Sergei Skliarenko agreed 'We are glad that we have been able to offer our first Friday to Hector Romero. He is a great dj and a good addition to our Friday Night Line UP'.
The Sullivan Room which is known for being the cool club with no name on the door, an underground hotspot in NYC is getting hotter. '[i]It was sad to think when I came home I would not be going back to Filter 14' says Romero. Then Sergei called me and we started talking. 'Sullivan Room is the perfect spot for me'.

It's not all about the big room anymore for Hector Romero who is constantly asked what makes a good night. His answer is 'Good Sound, Good Music, Good People and a few surprises'. With an Upgrade of the sound, and a new first Friday, this looks like a win win for New York City this Fall / Winter and a home for Romero.
