New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Growing up in the 90's and early 2000's gave Chris Sauceda good roots for writing great Alternative rock songs. Sauceda's debut album " The Joker" is heavily influenced by bands like Foo Fighters, Incubus, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, and Nirvana, yet it is still very original.
Songs like "Not in Kansas Anymore" which uses lines and and imagery from The Wizard of Oz to express the emotion of the song (Feeling lonely, a loved one leaving), " Keeping Secrets" expresses the pain in holding in something and how it eats you up inside and ruins your self esteem.
When you listen to the album " The Joker" by Sauceda it is sure to bring a bit of nostalgia to your heart and is hopefully the beginning of the "real" music movement in this world of heavy electronic and Auto-Turned music. While listening to " The Joker" realize that rock isn't dead yet.
