Gentle Acoustic Folk With British Indi Pop Overtones: Night House Releases New EP & Video
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Brighton-based four piece Night House formed during the summer of 2013 as the touring band for lead singer Nick Williams's solo record. Holed up in their Brighton studio they started work on demo material, drawing influences from the vocal harmony work of Crosby, Stills & Nash, the song writing of Tom Waits, Iron and Wine and Rufus Wainwright as well as the atmospheric/electronic work of Radiohead, James Blake and Mew.

These early demos caught the attention of producer Jamie Bell (METRONOMY-The English Riviera Assistant producer) and recording started soon after at Metropolis Studios London. Jamie and Night House worked through the early months of 2014 aiming to combine the warmth of early seventies Laurel Canyon records with a modern electronic edge.

Night House have supported touring acts such as Ben Howard, Willy Mason, Krystle Warren and The Magic Numbers. Live, they build textures of acoustic/electric drums and guitars, four part vocal harmonies, double bass, Fender Rhodes piano and mandolin, with band members swapping instruments throughout to create an energetic yet haunting performance.

"As the piano strikes the final chord you are forced to marvel at how Night House have delicately created such a tight collection of thought-provoking songs; and they've done so whilst steering clear of producing the kind of contrived tearjerkers that many others attempt." - AurallyYours.blogspot.com
