War Games New Album 'Holding Patterns' Out Today!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Indie-rock band WAR GAMES teamed up with Alternative Press last week as they hosted an exclusive pre-release stream of their album Holding Patterns. Today is the official release day of Holding Patterns! Recorded over the course of the past year at three different studios, the album showcases the band's variety of influences and sound, while solidifying into a cohesive, unique piece. As their manager Daniel Rinaldi put it, "Holding Patterns is exactly what it sets out to be. A story with a beginning, middle, and end, allowing the listener to go on that journey with War Games."

"Foundations", the first single from the album, was released in January and well-received by a variety of outlets after premiering via AbsolutePunk, here. Clinton Lisboa, engineer for several tracks off the new album, said, "Between driving/powerful choruses and intimate verses/bridge, 'Foundations' thoughtfully showcases the band's range of dynamics. Without question, one of the most urgent and hard hitting singles this band has delivered to date." The band later premiered "Sinker" via Providence's 95.5 WBRU-FM radio, one of Southern New England's largest alternative rock stations. During their visit, they also performed exclusive live acoustic versions of tracks posted here. Their last single premiere prior to the album release was the title track "Holding Patterns" hosted via Substream Magazine, here, stating, "War Games are helping revitalize a progressive, atmospheric emo-rock sound that was brought to the masses in the mid-2000s through the likes of Thrice, the Receiving End of Sirens and Moneen".

The band celebrated it's record release show last Friday at the Met in Pawtucket, RI which also kicked off the start of their UK tour. Over the course of two weeks, the band will hit a variety of dates (listed below) sharing their new music with their growing international fan base.

The album can be purchased direct from the band via Etsy as well as digital distributors Itunes, Bandcamp and Spotify.
