New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Varèse Sarabande will release THE LIBRARIANS - Original
Soundtrack digitally and on CD on June 23, 2015. The album features the original music composed by Joseph LoDuca (EVIL DEAD Trilogy, XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS).
"THE LIBRARIANS is a fantasy/adventure series that was created out of the success of three LIBRARIAN telefilms that aired on TNT over the past several years," said LoDuca. "In those stories, Flynn Carson (Noah Wiley) plays the learned nerd who saves the world from evil. In the current series, a team of specialists with 'super powers' join with Flynn to battle evil magic in many forms. The music requires a full orchestra to match the enormity of their task."
Returning to the universe of TNT's hit movie franchise, The Librarian, this new series centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. This group solves impossible mysteries, fights supernatural threats and recovers powerful artifacts, including the Ark of the Covenant, the Spear of Destiny and Excalibur.
Joseph LoDuca's life-long love affair with music began with deep rock and jazz roots coming up through the rich music scene in the Motor City; to university studies of composition and guitar in New York; expanding further to absorb the musical languages of the Middle East, India, and Asia, finding fresh contexts for ancient sounds. "I understand the language of music and how to apply it to storytelling. What excites me is being able to inject who I am and what I discover every time I work closely with a filmmaker," LoDuca said.
He began his film career scoring director Sam Raimi's EVIL DEAD Trilogy, and has continued that relationship through the top-rated television series SPARTACUS, HERCULES: THE LEGENDARY JOURNEYS, and Emmy winners THE LEGEND OF THE SEEKER and XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS.
A Two-time EMMY® Award winner and eleven-time nominee, composer Joseph LoDuca is no stranger to large orchestra action/adventure, fantasy, and thriller music. His latest projects are the Horror/Comedy BURYING THE EX, upcoming supernatural thriller PAY THE GHOST and the highly anticipated television series ASH VS EVIL DEAD.
"The soundtrack album is a full orchestra score mainly from the pilot," LoDuca explained. "I added a few tracks that feature fantastic female vocalists:

The second season of THE LIBRARIANS will be on TNT this fall. THE LIBRARIANS - Original Score on Varèse Sarabande, will be available digitally and on CD on June 23, 2015.
