Europe has announced the final line-up of performers and presenters for The MTV
Europe Music Awards 2004, to be held at the at the Tor di Valle, Rome on November 18th 2004.
The 11th annual MTV Europe Music Awards will be hosted by hip hop legend Xzibit, and will feature live performances from soul diva Alicia Keys with R&B superstar Usher, pop goddess Anastacia, hip hop pioneers Beastie Boys, Multi-platinum, global award winning artist Eminem, Scottish breakthrough rockers Franz Ferdinand, celebrated solo artist Gwen Stefani, L.A rockers Maroon 5, hip hop superstar Nelly, Swedish power-rockers The Hives and Italian pop superstar Tiziano Ferro.
MTV will also stage MTV At The Coliseum - a free public show to be held simultaneously with the MTV Europe Music Awards. The show by Rome's ancient amphitheatre will feature live performances and live appearances from Anastacia, Elisa, Carmen Consoli, The Cure and Hoobastank, with The Cure's and Hoobastank's performances also featuring in the live MTV Countdown Show which will be broadcast across MTV Europe's network of 11 regionalised channels from 2000CET. Anastacia's live performance will be beamed live from the Coliseum to the main Awards show.
The MTV Europe Music Awards main event performers will be joined by special guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar and presenters including Evanescence star Amy Lee, Andre 3000 from experimental hip-hop pioneers OutKast, AJ McLean and Nick Carter from Backstreet Boys, acclaimed hip hop collective The Black Eyed Peas, Ex-Westlifer and solo star Brian McFadden, glamorous Placebo frontman Brian Molko, Linkin Park's vocal titan Chester Bennington and DJ/Turntablist Joseph Hahn, Italian football icon Alessandro del Piero, soulful heartthrob Eamon, beautiful 24 star Elisha Cuthbert, British R&B sensation Jamelia, Australian superstar Kylie, iconic supermodel Naomi Campbell, pop goddess Natasha Bedingfield, hip hop super-producers N*E*R*D, football legend Paolo Di Canio, parental role models Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, legendary The Cure frontman Robert Smith, and skateboarding superstar Tony Hawk.
The MTV Europe Music Awards, which will air to a potential worldwide audience of more than 1 billion people, is sponsored by Replay Blue Jeans, L'Oreal Paris Studio Line, Hewlett Packard and Foot Locker.
