NEW YORK (AP) - The Butthole Surfers will hit the road for the first time in five years on Oct. 16 in Providence, R.I.
The band - singer Gibby Haynes, guitarist Paul Leary, and drummer King Coffey -- will be augmented by bassist Nathan Calhoun and guitarist-drummer Josh Klinghoffer for the tour. Kid 606, a one-man act who's friends with Coffey, will serve as the opener.
The Austin, Texas-based band is touring in support of Weird Revolution, which features the first single, "The Shame of Life," co-written by Haynes and Kid Rock. The Kyle Cooper-directed clip for the track is currently on MTV2.
