Aaron Comess And The Air Conditioned Gypsies Return To Rockwood In NYC On 12/15 For Free Improv Concert

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Aaron Comess continues his ongoing experimental music band the "Air Conditioned Gypsies" at Rockwood Music Hall's stage 2 on December 15th at 10:00 pm .

Joining this time will be guitarist Vernon Reid on guitar with "AC Gypsies" mainstay Leon Gruenbaum back on the Samchillion (a midi instrument he invented) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samchillian

and bassist Richard Hammond, who is in Aaron's other group which put out the acclaimed instrumental records "Beautiful Mistake" in 2011 and "Blues for Use" in 2014 .

Comess said "I'm really looking forward to having Vernon join us on this one . We go way back, being label-mates on Epic Records, back when both Living Colour and Spin Doctors were on that label.

He is a great innovator and improviser and I have the upmost respect for him as an artist on many levels. He and Leon have played together a lot, as have Richard and myself, and I have a feeling the results of our improvisations will be inspired."

This will be the fourth installment of this ongoing project where Comess calls upon different musicians to improvise together. This will be the first one with just Comess on drums — the last three have had Marc Guilana, Jojo Mayer and Eric Harland joining Comess .
