NEW YORK (Wrecking Ball Media/ JackMusic/ www.amymiles.net) - Steeped in Southern gothic tradition and a love for Prince ("Let Me Be Your Friend" was penned for him), Amy's scruffy music and "haunting voice" (Performing Songwriter) has been winning over the hearts of nearly everyone in its path - including Interview Magazine, where Amy was featured in the Spring of 2004 and a favorite of the magazine. They decided to run her story with merely the rough mixes for Noble Hatch and a strong belief that most of the universe will soon catch on. And right they were, as Elle Magazine is also buzzing about Amy in their January 2005 issue, again with just the Noble Hatch rough mixes as their source of inspiration. "This record was super fun to make," said our charming ex-Limelight cage dancer. "It was a party at times and I got all my favorite people to play on it, " including Jed Parish from the Gravel Pit, Sam Bisbee, Jesse Blockton of The Vitamen, and Amy Poehler from SNL on backing vocals. Since migrating to New York, Amy Miles has become a staple in the infamous Losers Lounge, sang the part of Sarah Silverman's genitals in Jesus is Magic, and is currently a member of Baby with Craig Wedren of Shudder to Think. Amy is also the creator and musical director for Soundtracks Live! at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, a show soon to be featured on VH1 featuring members of The State and SNL. Look for Amy on tour throughout 2005 in support of Noble Hatch. If you're lucky, catch her Tuesday, December 14th at Southpaw, sharing the bill with Juliana Hatfield.
