Jonathan L & Gaby - Radio Boom
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Emerald and Doreen is very pleased to give you something special.
Award winning International radio personality Jonathan L from Berlin, Germany whose show Lopsided World Of L can be heard on numerous stations on three continents, returns with a new song 'Radio Boom'. Following '(Don't Be Afraid) Move' spoken about the pursuit of happiness which received a lot of radio play on non commercial, College, various shows from America, U.K., and numerous other Countries.

'Radio Boom' was inspired by his wife Gaby singing 'boom boom boom' around the flat for months and coinciding with him reading about the state of a business he is quite familiar with. The topic is the state of radio today. Having grown up in the early days of what then was incredible radio, original more diverse and kept your interest, Jonathan wrote heartfelt lyrics on a subject many in radio, listeners and musicians today speak of out loud and privately about.

Through a mutual friend London musician David Bury, Mr. L was brought together with a phenomenal Wakefield, Leeds, England musician Barry S. better known as The inconsistent Jukebox. He brought his craft and enthusiasm together with Jonathan to make a poignant and cheeky and serious song that will resonate with many. His own music will be released soon. Jonathan says 'we both felt it right from the beginning. He is an awesome musician, and artist (he did the album cover too)'.

Having spent most of his 34 years on radio in America, the song is about the state of commercial radio today. With many losing jobs due to big corporations downsizing employees which leads to less quality of radio than years ago, Mr. L speaks and even sings a bit about the institution of what many of us grew up to and now are leaving radio for alternatives such as the internet and many other options. Times are a changing.

Well known radio personalities who Jonathan admire are given deserved acknowledgement such as the most listened to American radio personality ever, Howard Stern. Also the late un-replaceable British presenter John Peel. Two well known Los Angeles personalities, Freddie Snakeskin and Jed The Fish and one of the true radio originals Wolfman Jack are also mentioned.

Everyone needs a wake up call once in awhile, and commercial radio now it is your turn. BOOM!
