Red Hot Chili Peppers To Welcome Rams Home To Los Angeles On Sunday, September 18
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) Los Angeles' own RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS will help kick off the Rams' inaugural season back home in Southern California with a performance prior to the historic home opener at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, September 18. The pregame performance leads into the Rams hosting the Seattle Seahawks during the first NFL game in Los Angeles in 22 years (FOX 11/KTTV, 1:05 PM PT).

"Since I was a little boy, I've taken joy in the beauty of the Rams. When I moved to Los Angeles in 1972, I was getting uprooted from my home and I thought, 'Well, where I'm going they've got the Rams. It's going to be all right,'" said Flea.

Red Hot Chili Peppers' new album The Getaway debuted at #1 on the Billboard Album Sales Chart and at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 upon its release in June. The Getaway marks the Grammy Award-winning band's seventh top 10 album and third #2 on the Top 200 Chart. The album debuted at #1 in Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, and New Zealand and at #2 in the United Kingdom and Germany. The Getaway was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich.

The album was praised by Rolling Stone: "top-shelf modern-rock splendor", People: "their best album in ages", USA Today: "...proves not only that the longtime rockers still sizzle 30 years in, but also are capable of victoriously revamping their sound", and many more.

Gates to the Coliseum open at 11:00 AM PT and fans should be in their seats 30-minutes prior to kickoff to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers performance. Important information for those attending the game about security, parking and transportation can be found at https://www.therams.com/gameday.

Fans should be prepared for enhanced security elements at the Coliseum. Metal detectors have been installed at all gates and guests will be required to walk through them before entering the stadium. In addition, the Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for all games at the Coliseum this year. The Rams strongly encourage fans to not bring any type of bags, but https://www.NFL.com/allclear outlines what bags are permissible and what items are prohibited.
