Oogee Wawa Set To Release Fourth New Single Of 2016 Just Another Day
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) As we wind down from the mixed drinks and sunshine of the Summer and the seasons change once again, one thing you can be sure will stay constant is the unrelenting force of good musical vibes from New Yorks own Oogee Wawa! Having kicked off the Summer with a string of dates alongside fellow reggae-rockers Ballyhoo!, theyve played a ton shows throughout NY including the Rocks Off Concert Cruise with The Movement in July and taking the Main Stage at the Sayville Seafood Festival in August, all the while dropping hit singles along the way. Now, theyre getting ready to release yet another with Just Another Day later this month as they get ready for their first HEADLINING performance at Revolution Bar & Music Hall in Amityville, NY on Friday, November 11th! (Full List of Upcoming Shows Below)

2016 got off to an exciting start for Oogee Wawa, who headed out on their Island Hopper Tour in January, hitting stops in FL and the U.S. Virgin Islands to spread their Hip-hop infused reggae vibes along the way. Having played in the past with the likes of Slightly Stoopid, SOJA, Sublime with Rome, The Dirty Heads, The Wailers, Badfish, Ballyhoo!, Passafire, rocking the 2015 Beer Fields Craft Beer & Music Festival alongside Collie Buddz, making history headlining The Paramount in Huntington NY in late September 2015 as the first unsigned headliners to rock the venue, and hitting the road with a touring schedule of over 200 shows a year, Oogee released their second LP More Sand Than Money in April of 2015. After playing with 311, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and The Green at The Great South Bay Music Festival last Summer and the Long Beach International Film Festivals Taste On the Beach last August 2015, the band also filmed a LIVE taping of Ricks Rising Stars at Revolution Bar & Music Hall which aired on Verizon Fios Channel 1 and filmed an episode of Live It Up! with Donna Drake at IndiMusic TV.

With a recent endorsement from Korg USA and a video for hit single Feelin Alive Today released via Raised Fist Propaganda, the band that seems to make the live music stage a second home still has a ton in store! Before officially starting Oogee Wawa- MC Jesse Lee Roenbeck of Centereach, JP Aceto on guitar and vocals of Baiting Hollow, Chad Chadwick on bass of Selden, and Nick Loiodice on drums and vocals of Smithtown were friends just messing around playing the bar scene so many Long Island musicians know and clamor to on nights and weekends to get a little bit of that adrenaline pumping, big-or-small crowd cheering rush that comes with performing live. Forming in 2008, the band began playing consistent shows to ever-growing crowds before the release of their first LP- 2012s Ride Waves, and as their momentum got going they quickly became the islands in-demand alternative reggae act from Long Beach to Montauk.

Having released Finding Fame in late August and Palm Trees in July (Which was an iTunes Reggae Hot Track for the month), the bands Long Island roots and constant grind come to the forefront of each hard-hitting track. As Creative Control Magazine recently put it- To hold a successful party, you need loud, invigorating music that will fulfill the hosts one requirement: to keep the party going all night long. To complete this mission, theres no better band than Oogee Wawa.
