NEW YORK (www.allmanbrothersband.com) - The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND have confirmed dates for their annual "March Madness" run of performances at New York City's Beacon Theatre. The confirmed shows thus far are March 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19, with tickets going on sale Friday, January 7. The group started their annual string of performances at the Beacon in 1989 - instantly becoming historic must-see shows for ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND fans - and have since sold out over 150 nights there. The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND released their self-titled debut album in 1969 and have nearly 30 albums to their credit. In March 2003, the group released their first album in nine years Hittin' The Note (2003, Peach/Sanctuary), which earned the group a Grammy nomination in the "Best Rock Instrumental Performance" category for the track "Instrumental Illness." That same song earned a second Grammy nomination earlier this year for the live version released on 2003's One Way Out, while the Live From The Beacon Theatre DVD has been certified platinum. The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND line-up is as follows: GREGG ALLMAN (vocals and keyboards), BUTCH TRUCKS (drums and tympani), JAIMOE (drums), WARREN HAYNES (vocals, lead and slide guitar), DEREK TRUCKS (slide and lead guitar), OTEIL BURBRIDGE (bass) and MARC QUINONES (congas and percussion). https://www.allmanbrothersband.com
