New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Swedish three-piece My heart is a metronome (MHIAM) release new self-produced EP 'Tierp' bursting with alternative rock hooks and addictive melodies, after being titled 'Sweden's Best Unsigned Band'. Released February 10th, 'Tierp' was mixed by three-time Grammy award winner Pelle Gunnerfeldt (The Hives, Status Quo, The Knife) and mastered by
Robin Schmidt (Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard,
Black Keys, The 1975).
Although MHIAM started playing at a kid's birthday party, 4 years later the trio have been non-stop touring Sweden and the UK and receiving radio play in the UK, France, US and Germany. Described as 'Kings of Leon meets Bombay Bicycle Club', lead single 'Tierp' was influenced by lead singer Mattis' hometown in the centre of Sweden, once called 'the ugliest town in Sweden'.
MHIAM started with just Mattis after his previous band lacked ambition. After recording, producing, mixing and then releasing his debut EP, Mattis travelled
Europe with just a backpack and guitar. Once he returned home, Mattis realised a rhythm section was needed and soon entered Gustaf and Felix. The trio are set to release their lead single January 26th through the brand new indie label Soul City Enterprise, alongside a music video following the group cycling in the snow in Sweden's 'ugliest town'.
