Amilcar's name goes into Space in Course to a Comet'

POMPANO BEACH, FL. (New Vibes Musich/ www.newvibesmusic.com) - 'It sounds like science fiction but it is a reality' Cindy Smith head of the relations department of New Vibes Music said today after the name of Amilcar saved on a disc successfully took off from Port Canaveral aboard the Delta II rocket which carried NASA' Deep Impact's spacecraft heading to the Comet Temple 1.

NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft will take a half-year to travel 431 million kilometers (268 million miles) to the vicinity of comet Tempel 1 to conduct scientific experiments that could yield a dramatic breakthrough in our understanding of comets.

We managed to have Amilcar's name aboard Deep Impact thanks to 'Send Your Name to a Comet' campaign organized by NASA early last year. His name is on a disc mounted on the impactor spacecraft. This is a great timing for us since this is just happening weeks before the long awaited release of his New Age CD "Vacuuming the Forest". Amilcar's "Vacuuming the Forest" CD will be released on March 3, 2005, said Cindy Smith from New Vibes Music.

'I have been always attracted by space exploration' said the native from Venezuela with years of music business experience, providing music jingles for Internet based companies, and producing Techno and New Age music. He expressed his satisfaction on this historical event. 'I feel very lucky. Not everybody has the opportunity to have your name sent out of this world and to be sent in course to a comet. I feel very blessed and I am very thankful to NASA for this campaign' said Amilcar.
