New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Lupe Fiasco recently blessed fans with two new bangers via his Twitter page. One is called "KJazz" and the other is titled "Black Power L Word." The first of those is "Black Power L Word," a soulful track over Dudley Perkins' " Falling" instrumental. The Madlib-produced cut samples Barry Forgie's "Dawn Mists," which was also recently sampled by The Alchemist on Evidence's "Throw It All Away." "Rihanna made it," raps Fiasco. "Rollout minds / Frankenstein times Optimus Prime."
Next up, Carrera Lu delivers an ode to Los Angeles on "Kjazz," named after a Los Angeles jazz and blues radio station. Over Saib's "Spike Spiegel" instrumental, which provides a soulful jazz flavor, Fiasco rhymes about highways, cultures, and lots of food. "In-N-Out bag rolls," he raps. "Katsuya crab rolls / East L.A. food truck / Bossa Nova, Mastro's."
Both songs promote two of Lupe's upcoming shows in Southern California. One of them will take place at The Belasco in Los Angeles on Nov. 10. The following day, he will be performing at the House of Blues in Anaheim on Nov. 11.
