MF Doom's Son Passes Away

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) MF DOOM does his best to keep his personal life separate from his professional life, but on Monday (Dec. 18), the masked rapper pulled back the curtain to share some heartbreaking news.
According to an Instagram post from DOOM, his 14-year-old son, Malachi Ezekiel Dumile, passed away.

The British-born MC, born Daniel Dumile, took to Instagram on Monday (Dec. 18) to share the tragic news, along with a photo of his late son. "KING MALACHI EZEKIEL DUMILE 2/22/03 - 12/18/17 THE GREATEST SON ONE COULD ASK FOR," he wrote.

The heartfelt note continued, "SAFE JOURNEY AND MAY ALL OUR ANCESTORS GREET YOU WITH OPEN ARMS. ONE OF OUR GREATEST INSPIRATIONS. THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US TO BE YOUR PARENTS. LOVE YOU MALI."

There is no word on what caused his death. DOOM has been known to keep a private life, donning his signature mask throughout his 25-plus year career.

Fans took to social media to express their condolences and share their support. "R.I.P. !!! Im deeply sorry. Stay strong DOOM, I love you," wrote one Instagram user, while another added, "May his soul Rest In Peace and power."
