NEW YORK (Sony BMG) - I am pleased to announce the management team for SONY BMG Brazil. Alexandre Schiavo has been named General Manager, SONY BMG Brazil, and Kevin Ridgely Executive Vice President, both reporting will directly me. They will be based in Rio de Janeiro.

In his new role, Alex will manage SONY BMG's operations in Brazil with direct oversight of marketing, strategic marketing, A&R and new business development. Kevin will be responsible for finance, sales, operations, business affairs, human resources and new business development, a shared responsibility with Alex.

Alex and Kevin bring to SONY BMG Brazil a combination of business savvy, marketing skill and a unique understanding of the music market. With this talented team in place, I am confident that SONY BMG Brazil is poised to solidify its leadership position in this important and rebounding market.

Alex most recently served as Vice President, Marketing, Sony Music Brazil, since 2002, having previously served as Marketing Director, Sony Music Brazil. He first joined Sony Music Entertainment in 1992 as an intern in the Special Marketing Department.

Kevin most recently served as Vice President, Middle East Operations, Sony Music International, since 2001. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Business Development, Sony Music International, since 1998. He first joined the company in 1994 as Senior Director, Business Development, Sony Music International. Previously he was with Price Waterhouse, both in New York and Cairo, Egypt.
