New York, NY (Top40 Charts) New Orleans-based provocateuse Carsie Blanton is in the midst of a tour with Madeleine Peyroux that will make stops in Alexandria, Dallas, Berkeley and more. In celebration of the tour, which will also feature a string of headline shows in New York and Washington, D.C., Blanton is releasing a parody of "Love Yourself" she calls "Fuck Yourself."

BUST premiered the video and said, "Are you tired of the ukulele-playing, mustache-sporting, vape-loving men that seem to crawl around every bar, café, and corner of Tinder? Carsie Blanton is, too."

"I like songs with great melodic hooks that get stuck in your head, I like lyrics that tell stories, and I like profanity. Parodying this song seemed like a good opportunity for all three. I rewrote most of the lyrics to allow me to do another of my favorite things: make fun of boys," explains Blanton. "With the accompanying video, I got even more specific with the fun-making, targeting some hipsterisms of which I am particularly unfond: mustaches, tall bikes, ukuleles, and vaping."

"Also, I'd like to make out with Ed Sheeran. Rewriting some of his dumber lyrics may be the fastest route. (This is me 'negging' Ed Sheeran. I am a pickup artist)."

In addition to her work in music, she has gained attention for her blog where she tackles topics like sexuality and creativity. Carsie once did an in-store tour of sex positive adult stores and has just invented a new game called The F'ing Truth, which she describes as "Bingo and Never Have I Ever's cooler, hotter lovechild." Famed sex columnist and author Dan Savage said, "The F'ing Truth is an f'ing blast."
All of Carsie Blanton's albums are available to download and stream for any price you want.
