NASHVILLE, TN. (www.tsunamireliefshow.com.) - On Ash Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 Nashville hosted the Tsunami Relief Benefit for Operation Blessing. The benefit featured an all-star line up of top Christian recording artists including: Avalon, Tait, Rachael Lampa, Anthony Evans, David Phelps, Everlife, George Rowe, Natalie Gage and Tiffany Farnsworth. Noted speaker K.P. Westmoreland hosted the event.

"The event proved to be a huge success," said Sue Ross, artist relations/promotions for the event. "It was amazing to see how much was accomplished in just six weeks. I was very proud to be a part of this event and to be involved with such giving people."

All the funds raised from the event will be going to Operation Blessing. Operation Blessing has programs that reach people through out the world. Their dedicated staff was one of the first relief groups to into Southeast Asia to help with the Tsunami disaster. They have regional offices in Indonesia, India and Thailand. The funds raised by the benefit will go towards reconstruction programs, emergency rations and medical aid.

More than 700 people were involved in either attending or supporting this event, adding thousands of more dollars to contribute to the relief efforts. "I was blown away, this was one the greatest concerts 'vocally' that I have ever heard," said Scott Knabe, event coordinator/manager. "Everyone on the bill was just a joy to work with and to watch."
