Nashville hosted the Tsunami Relief Benefit for Operation Blessing. The
benefit featured an all-star line up of top Christian recording artists
including: Avalon, Tait, Rachael Lampa, Anthony Evans, David Phelps,
Everlife, George Rowe, Natalie Gage and Tiffany Farnsworth. Noted
speaker K.P. Westmoreland hosted the event. "The event proved to
be a huge success," said Sue Ross, artist relations/promotions for the
event. "It was amazing to see how much was accomplished in just six
weeks. I was very proud to be a part of this event and to be involved
with such giving people." All the funds raised from the event
will be going to Operation Blessing. Operation Blessing has programs
that reach people through out the world. Their dedicated staff was one
of the first relief groups to into Southeast Asia to help with the
Tsunami disaster. They have regional offices in Indonesia, India and
Thailand. The funds raised by the benefit will go towards
reconstruction programs, emergency rations and medical aid. More
than 700 people were involved in either attending or supporting this
event, adding thousands of more dollars to contribute to the relief
efforts. "I was blown away, this was one the greatest concerts
'vocally' that I have ever heard," said Scott Knabe, event
coordinator/manager. "Everyone on the bill was just a joy to work with
