Brooklyn Artist Bayli Announces 'Summer' Mixtape
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Bed Stuy native Bayli has announced her debut 'SUMMER' mixtape. The 24-year-old is no stranger to the industry-cutting her teeth as a teenager as lead singer of The Skins, a crew of New York School of Rock classmates that quickly caught the attention of Rick Rubin, who oversaw the release of their debut EP 'Still Sleep' (American/Republic Records).

"MYOB: Or Whatever," marks the beginning of a sonic conversation of what Bayli is up to, opening up her life and music to the world. Produced by Alex Hope (Troye Sivan, Tove Lo) and co-written with Justin Tranter (Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez), "MYOB: Or Whatever" is the first sampling of Bayli's treasure trove of songs and an exciting new beginning for her career.

"MYOB" stands for "Mind Your Own Business," a call for listeners to look past the judgement of others and focus on celebrating themselves.

The track is accompanied by a riotous hyper-local video shot in various New York locations like Chinatown, under the Brooklyn Bridge, Milk Studios, and The Ravel Hotel.

Watch via PAPER as Bayli "perfectly embodies New York City's summer spirit".
The eight songs that comprise the 'SUMMER' mixtape will be released weekly for the next six weeks, and are the result of years Bayli spent writing, recording, and fine-tuning her craft, creating tracks that defy genre, and placing herself at the forefront of the "new Brooklyn."

Tracks like "Problem" ride the passionate line between lust, love, and hate, while "Kid" was written as an ode to a generation, serving as a reminder to always be present and absorb every experience. While many of these songs took significant time to craft and perfect, one of the mixtape's standout tracks "Underneath" came naturally to Bayli, with the song's entire structure coming together in only three hours.

To celebrate the new single and the announcement of the 'SUMMER' mixtape, Bayli will perform at Mondrian Park Avenue tomorrow, Thursday June 28th. In addition, Bayli will serve as support for Snoop Dogg at the 50STAR FIRESHOW, on the Private Internet Access stage in front of a 200,000 person audience lining the Hudson River Waterfront. The circus-themed all-day event is being presented by Jersey City Mayor Steven J. Fulop, in partnership with nightlife gurus Michael Satsky and Brian Gefter of Provocateur.
