New Album Review Dirk Schwenk & The Truth 'Along The Road'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Originally hailing from Annapolis, Maryland, Dirk Schwenk and his four-piece band, The Truth, is genuinely and truthfully honest when crafting the extraordinarily remarkable musical compositions. Blended in the notes of folk, country and rock genre, their songs always bare a unique charisma of pure art and dedication. With the release of their new EP, 'Along the Road', they have surely paved their path to the pinnacle of true success and fame in the world of creative music.

Wrapped in a whole lot of content and thematic apperception, the new EP comprises of five delicate and gripping tracks that carry the power to allure its audience with its amazing upbeats and groovy melodies. Giving a kick start with, 'Table Set For Two,' which drives the ambience of the album, Schwenk sets up the whole instinct of energy required to glide through the other songs.

The song, Table Set For Two is well-crafted and ensures that the rest of the songs just flows with 'The River' peacefully, unhindered while maintaining the positive aura and energy of the whole album. Just like its name, the song 'The River' gives a beautiful and natural picture of exotic sceneries which not only uplifts one's mood but also depicts the imaginative strength of the artists. With a soft female voice and swiftly playing banjo notes, the track leaves a warm, heavenly feel for its audience.

Schwenk uses his gifted and well-trained vocal qualities to draft the songs in a heavy, high-pitched and tuneful tone which is not only pleasant to the ear but also gives a boast to the lazy enthusiasm to shake a leg or just humm the lyrics with the musical flow. Fulfilling the energy and power required, the next songs, 'I Am Graced', slides through the listener's mind gracefully tickling the nerves that pulsate with the vibrant drum beats and mesmerizing guitar strumming.

Not too strong or too mild, the instrumental backdrop of the album is just appropriate that does beautifully complement the energy and ardour of the album. 'Along the Road She Comes,' arrives next bringing with it more zeal and intensity that cycles the power and dynamic nature of the album.

The album is a collection of passionate and emotional tracks that weave a story that depicts a soulful amalgamation of melodies and memories. Evoking the acutely hidden desires, the songs take quite frequent modulating turns with quirky guitar chords and solo upbeats. It's really difficult for a country or rock music lover to cherish the melodies without getting involved into the spirit of this fresh yet familiar scent of fusion music.

'Flag on the Hill' marks the last finishing composition that sums up all the enthusiasm and uplifts the soul into a mystic air of the right amount of patriotic emotion. Schwenk being the ever competent songwriter moves his wand cleverly, without prioritizing any political sides. Overall, a great album with some unique track collection that is a must listen for any country and rock music lover and especially for those who love variety colours and shades while choosing their musical fantasies.
