Today, Wayne Kramer announces North American support for MC50, his supergroup headlining the much-anticipated "Kick Out The Jams: The 50th Anniversary Tour." Openers for the tour include The Detroit Cobras, Starcrawler, and Man Or Astro-Man?, with more TBA -- full details in dates below.

Faith No More monster bassist Billy Gould has also signed on for the tour's duration, replacing previously announced MC50 member Dug Pinnick (King's X). Additional dates will deliver guest performances from Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam), Greg Dulli (The Afghan Whigs), and fellow Detroit mainstay Don Was (Was Not Was).

Alongside Wayne Kramer, leader of legendary Detroit proto-punk / hard rock band the MC5, MC50 features Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil, Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty, and frontman Marcus Durant (Zen Guerrilla) for all shows celebrating the landmark anniversary of MC5's incendiary debut album, Kick Out the Jams. The tour follows the impending release of Kramer's memoir The Hard Stuff: Dope, Crime, the MC5, and My Life of Impossibilities, to be published August 14 by Da Capo Press.
