Fischerspooner: 'The Cave' Psycahdelic Documentary Soundtrack

LOS ANGELES (Capitol Records) - Fischerspooner's digital release of Just Let Go in the US is now available with a free download of 'The Cave' - a psychadelic documentary soundtrack. DESCRIPTION A stream-of-consciousness portrait, compiled from audio interviews with friends and collaborators of the NY art/pop duo, of the creative process and points of views on the intersection of art and money in modern culture. The piece was edited by legendary hip hop producer Steinski, forefather of all the zanier aspects of turntablism.
Steinski made his name with a succession of extra-legal works of studio art in the mid eighties - "Lesson One: The Payoff Mix," "Lesson Two: The James Brown Mix," "Lesson 3: The History of Hip-Hop" - that quickly became DJ landmarks and some of the most valued bootlegs in rap history. Revolving around the making of their second album 'ODYSSEY', the soundtrack offers an insight into the unique world of Fischerspooner and will ultimately become the audio track of a short film. Featuring cameos by Jimmy Fallon, songwriter Linda Perry and Tony Wilson - the real life music industry mogul portrayed in the acclaimed movie '24 Hour Party People'. RUNNING TIME 14:53 mins
