FLORIDA (Afterworld Records) - Renowned singer/songwriter, RAYMOND ACEVEDO, has once again put creative license to the test, passing with flying colors with his most recent (English) solo release, "Age of Anxiety" (Afterworld Records - 2004)... Along with Producer, Aurelio Laing III, the lines between rock, pop, and soul have been blurred, resulting in a pleasantly abstract fusion of inventive sound and song.

Drawing from his incredibly diverse professional history, RAYMOND, a former member of the Internationally acclaimed Latin Supergroup, Menudo (1985-1988,) has since developed an intuitively keen perception of modern songwriting. "Age of Anxiety" (succeeding the equally accomplished 2001 Spanish release, "Amor Oculto," AWR) reveals a bountiful spectrum of rich acoustic ballads, edgy techno pop, surreal electronic interludes and beyond. The integration of elements, including exceptionally profound lyrics, is uncanny. From beginning to end, the echoing theme of introspection and resiliency is evident, providing ample manifestation of annotated imagery and illuminated senses. With a distinctive twist to contemporary alternative rock, "AoA" paves the way to a realm that's refreshingly whimsical and sophisticated in style.

"Age of Anxiety" conjures the undeniable talents of RAYMOND ACEVEDO (acoustic guitar, lead vocals,) his sister, Glo Acevedo (vocals) and Producer/Cowriter, Aurelio Laing III (piano, programming) yielding a unique spin of intrinsic artistic autonomy... Innovative. Alluring. Brilliant.
