For his ninth album Sings His Sad Heart, Matt Nathanson teamed with producers Butch Walker, Stacey Jones, Amir SALEM and Adam Pallin. The album's single, "Used To Be," is currently Top 40 atHot AC Radio and climbing.

Sings His Sad Heart comes off the heels of Nathanson's Def Leppard approved cover album of their iconic Pyromania titled Pyromattia which shot to #1 on iTunes Alternative chart. Def Leppard's Joe Elliott called the album "an amazing reinterpretation" with "heart & soul." The new album marks the follow up to Show Me Your Fangs which was described as his most adventurous and prolific album to date and featured the songs, "Giants," "Bill Murray" and "Adrenaline." Nathanson recently wrapped up a stint as a special guest on O.A.R.'s Just Like Paradise Tour.

Based in San Francisco, Matt Nathanson has evolved into one of the most applauded songwriters and engaging performers on the music scene today. His 2007 album, Some Mad Hope, yielded hisbreakthrough multi-platinum hit "Come on Get Higher." His 2013 release, Last of The Great Pretenders, debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top 200 while hitting #1 on iTunes' Alternative Albumschart. Nathanson will take Sings His Sad Heart on the road with a North American headlining acoustic tour that will kick off on February 9th, 2019 in Orlando, FL and will conclude in his hometown of San Francisco, CA on March 28th.
