Artist-Producer Jay Nomad Is The Bridge Between Latin-America And Asia With His Debut Single "Hanabi"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) In the concrete jungles where dreams are made of, there's nothing you can't do, as the great Alicia Keys reminds us in her hit song "New York". This is exactly the case for a native Manhattanite whose artist producer name is Jay Nomád. After 5 years of ups and downs, he's managed to rise from the ashes setting up his studio in Queens and releasing his debut single "Hanabi".

Hanabi is a blend of pop, urban, and electronic sounds, but what makes it unique is the use of a Japanese Koto in the intros and choruses. The traditionally Japanese sounding intro is then followed by plucked synths and a chorus that reminds the listener that this is still a pop song. The lyrics talk about the love that sparks between a foreigner and a local girl on the streets of Shibuya, one of the hottest districts in Tokyo famous for its nightlife. Jay Nomád mentions the source of his inspiration: "I was inspired by my visit to Tokyo in 2015 and how quickly daily life goes in such a big city. It made me wonder how people made time to date and enjoy themselves in such a fast-paced environment."

Hanabi is just the first of several singles that Jay Nomád will be releasing throughout 2019 as he kicks off his project. But it wasn't so easy for him to get to this point. After enjoying relative success in the music industry in Colombia for over 10 years, Jay returned to New York City in 2013 to find he had to rebuild his music career from scratch. Finding it difficult to compete in the city he then traveled around the world in 2014 to find inspiration from different cultures. He tried out different projects throughout the later years that didn't completely satisfy him. In 2016 after a short marriage he was faced with legal battles to deal with that drove him through a long depression, financial difficulties, and months of therapy. But it was thanks to those years of self-improvement that Jay decided to take on his new career as an artist-producer at the end of 2017.

Now Jay Nomád is ready to take on the music scene in what he calls "creating the bridge between Asia and Latin America". It makes sense, especially how in more recent years, new emerging artists like J Balvin and Maluma have paved the way for Latin American Artists in the United States. The same is happening thanks to record labels such as 88rising which have brought artists from Asian countries to join forces with Asian American artists with a signature style of R&B and Urban music. Jay Nomád wants to bring artists from both of these worlds through his work and connections.

More is expected to come for Jay Nomád in the next couple of months. "I'm taking it one step at a time and focusing on learning from fellow artists I collaborate with." Jay produces most of his work with Colombian Producer Juan David Morales and Taiwanese American Producer Tony Yang (Paprtape). A good example of how he's slowly but surely bringing together East and South. To listen to Hanabi go to jaynomad.hearnow.com where there are several streaming services to choose from.
