Mary Lattimore Shares Jonsi Remix Of "It Feels Like Floating"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Next week LA-based composer/harpist Mary Lattimore will play a series of UK headline shows, debuting material from her new solo album 'Hundreds of Days', which was released earlier this year via Ghostly International.
Ahead of the dates, today we share a soaring remix of the track '"It Feels Like Floating" by Jonsi. Plucks of harp dissolve as washes of synth glisten softly at the surface; its runtime stretches to 23 minutes, its ending sequence now isolated, acting as a bridge between his piece and the original. The Sigur Rós singer's unmistakable voice appears briefly, enraptured by the circuitous current of this quiet organ hymn.
Listen to "It Feels Like Floating (Jónsi remix).

MARY LATTIMORE
- Shares Jónsi remix of "It Feels Like Floating"
- UK headline shows in Newcastle, London & Bristol next week
- Currently performing with Meg Baird on tour with Kurt Vile
- New Album 'Hundreds of Days' Out Now On Ghostly International

"Beautiful, wordless ruminations" - 4* The Guardian
"Sublime, wordless essays… Possesed with an ingenious directness, as if Lattimore is discovering the music's rippling magic even as she delivers it." - 4* MOJO
"It's on her solo albums that she fully indulges her talent for the romantic, windswept gesture… Enchanting." - Uncut
"A veritable sky of sound." - NPR
"Lattimore has a way of highlighting the harp's percussive, melodic, and psychedelic qualities, offering much more than mere angelic eminence." - Pitchfork

Mary Lattimore is currently on tour with Kurt Vile performing with Meg Baird in support of their recently released collaborative record, 'Ghost Forests', which is out now on Three Lobed Recording (details here). However, these headline shows will see Lattimore take to the stage alone with her harp, allowing the audience to focus entirely on the unique and expressive style of playing that has harnessed her reputation.

In addition to her own music, Mary also writes harp parts for songs and recordings, performing and recording with such great artists as Meg Baird, Thurston Moore, Sharon Van Etten, Jarvis Cocker, Kurt Vile, Steve Gunn, Ed Askew and Fursaxa. She has been a part of soundtrack projects including the Valerie Project, Lopapeysa, a film by David Kessler set in Iceland, and the film score for Marina Abramovic: the Artist is Present, a documentary about the artist. In March 2013, she accompanied Nick Cave's beautiful horse soundsuits for the 100th anniversary of Grand Central Station in New York City.

'Hundreds of Days' is her second full-length LP with Ghostly International. The record sojourns between silences and speech, between microcosmic daily scenes and macrocosmic universal understandings, between being alien in promising new places and feeling torn from old native havens. It's an expansive new chapter in Lattimore's story, and an expression of mystified gratitude. A study in how ordinary components helix together to create an extraordinary world.
'Hundreds of Days' is available now from The Ghostly Store or the retailer of your choice.
