New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Tame Impala have just announced new North
America headlining dates this May. The shows include stops in Nashville on May 2nd, Asheville, NC on May 3rd, St. Augustine, FL on May 6th and their first-ever show in Miami on May 7th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 1st at 10AM local time.
The dates come on the heels of
Tame Impala announcing a headlining slot at this year's Coachella Festival where he plays on Saturday, April 13 and Saturday, April 20. Further,
Tame Impala will headline Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, GA (May 5),
Corona Capital (May 11),
Boston Calling (May 25) and Barcelona's Primavera Festival (May 31).
Tame Impala is
Kevin Parker. His last album Currents (Interscope) was released in 2015 earning him a second GRAMMY nomination, RIAA Gold-certification and word-wide critical acclaim. The New York Times labeled it a "a tour de force" and Pitchfork said, "nearly every proper song on Currents is a revelatory statement of Parker's range and increasing expertise as a producer, arranger, songwriter, and vocalist while maintaining the essence of Tame Impala."
