Alex Lora El Tri, Will Celebrate At Large Half A Century Of Impeccable Music Trajectory
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Two concerts that will mark the history of music worldwide- not just any singer or band can boast 50 years of an impeccable artistic career, in which their albums, song and concerts all have been appreciated by millions and millions of people. The celebration will take place en San Jose, California on Friday February 15 at the San Jose, California at the City National Civic and in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday February 16.

Alex Lora is undoubtedly the most emblematic figure of Mexican Rock 'n Roll that has been given to the history of Art and Culture. The only one of his kind that since he picked up a guitar has never stopped his Rock 'n Roll. He is the artist that has identified with several generations ever since he appeared in the musical scene, simply because his songs are the perfect reflection of the universal feeling of a town; a nation; a continent. He is loved and admired not only in Mexico, but throughout the Americas.

Alex Lora, is "the most uninhibited and free rocker in the history of music in Spanish". Puebla is the land where he was born on December 2, 1952, although his nationality is worldwide. His name is written in gold letters within music, because he's not only dignified Mexican Rock 'n Roll, but has given it a whole identity.

Three Souls in my Mind (Tres Almas en mi Mente) is the name of the legendary group, founded by Lora, that became known in the late 60's and is simply the pioneering group of Rock 'n Roll in Spanish. In 1971 he participated in the Avandaro Festival where he gathered more than 200,000 young people near Mexico City. It was a massive event in which the best bands in the country participated, and in which Mexican Rock 'n Roll was demonized and therefore completely repressed and marginalized. Alex Lora, as a tireless engine of musical creativity and an inexhaustible defender of the genre, was not discouraged by this. On the contrary, it gave him greater strength and along with other groups, took refuge in the outskirts of Mexico City, where he carried out gigs in clandestine places such as warehouses and abandoned properties to which they called "Hoyos Funkys" (Funky Pits).

In his early days, when Mexican radio listened to rock 'n roll most famous songs in English translated into Spanish, he composed his songs in English language. It was not until his third album that he decided to compose in Spanish so that all his public or "la banda", as he call them, would connect, rather than just understand, the message of each one of his songs. That was what really gave an identity to the genre composed in Mexico and what made it become a staple within young people.

It can be said that he was the first underground artist on Aztec soil, as his songs always express what "bothers" bad governments, how oppressed the working class is, how children are "educated" leaving in the streets, and all those subjects in which each "normal or common person" is portrayed, musically speaking. However, the media did not make room for him in their programming, spaces or notes for any of what he did or say in his concerts.

Today he has 50 albums: 3 collection albums recorded in social rehabilitation centers (Reclusorio Oriente, the Santa Martha Acatitla male prison and the women's prison), 3 symphonic albums, 1 Unplugged for MTV 2 live at the Palacio de los Deportes, 2 at the Auditorio Nacional, 1 at the Arena in Mexico City, 1 at the Zocalo in the city of Puebla, 2 recorded live in the United States (1 at the Hollywood Palladium and 1 at the Gibson Auditorium, both in Los Angeles, California), 35 albums recorded; of those some recorded in Mexico and others in the United States.

He has shared the stage with other international figures such as Chuck Berry, Erick Burton and The Animals, Johnny Winter, Cannet Heat, Joan Jet, Ramones, The Cult, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Samy Hagar and The Rolling Stones, among many others.

Five decades... half a century... 10 lustrums of Art... 50 years... and his songs are so young and honest that they form part of the catalogue of "classical" music in Spanish.
