New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Freiburg, Germany-based indie-punks THE DEADNOTES have revealed a hard-hitting and emotional video for their new single 'Makeup', which is out now on their own newly-established 22Lives Records.

The news comes ahead of their forthcoming February 2019 UK headline tour dates with KID DAD presented by Punktastic, The Punk Site, and Already Heard, which kick off this week with a London date at The Monarch on 20th February 2019.

The Deadnotes are currently marching their way to the top of the indie-punk scene on the continent, tipped as one of the hottest new acts of 2019. With their new single 'Makeup', they not only justify their current success, but up the ante to deliver both a poignant and memorable song, with a powerful message.

"It really kills us to see so many people struggling with themselves," comment the band on the inspiration behind the single and video, "unable to find comfort simply with the way they are or how they act, and instead harming themselves by trying to be different. The song is ostensibly a socially critical song tackling beauty ideals and the way people judge each other."

An extensive UK/EU tour will follow the single release, with shows across the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and The Netherlands to promote the band's forthcoming album, due to be released later this year.

The Deadnotes February 2019 UK Tour Dates:
20.02.19 - London - The Monarch
21.02.19 - Glasgow - Bloc+
22.02.19 - Worcester - Annie's at the Courtyard
23.02.19 - Watford - LP Café
23.02.19 - Bournemouth - The Anvil
24.02.19 - Kingston upon Thames - Banquet Records (instore acoustic show)
24.02.19 - Brighton - The Hope & Ruin

Still in their early 20s, the list of achievements that The Deadnotes have racked up over the last few years is astonishing. They formed the band at just 14 years of age and haven't taken a moment's rest since, self-releasing both an EP and their debut album, and relentlessly touring through over 25 European countries.

Sharing the stage with Boston Manor, Don Broco, Beach Slang, The Front Bottoms, Such Gold, and many more, this year they will play their 500th live show—a remarkable feat for such a young band, and one that more than earns them their DIY stripes.

Recorded at Crooked Rain Recording Studios in Leeds, the new single was produced by Bob Cooper (WSTR, DUCKING PUNCHES, Nervus), mixed by Beau Burchell (Saosin, The Bronx), and mastered by Mike Kalajian (Saosin, Prawn, Bouncing Souls), with the band also recently founding their own record label, 22Lives Records.

The Deadnotes are:
Darius Lohmüller - vocals / guitar
Jakob Walheim - vocals / bass
Yannic Arens - drums
