The Head and The Heart
The Head and the Heart return this spring with their fourth full-length album, Living Mirage, featuring newly released "Missed Connections." Initially self-released in 2011, the group's self-titled breakout debut produced instant classics including "Rivers and Roads," "Down In The Valley" and "Lost In My Mind" and is now Certified Gold. Their last two albums, 2013's Let's Be Still and 2016's Signs of Light, settled into Billboard's Top 10 albums chart, withSigns of Light securing the #1 position on Rock Album Charts. It also produced the single "All We Ever Knew" which reached #1 at Alternative, after holding the #1 spot at AAA for nine straight weeks earlier that same year. Following consecutive sold-out Red Rocks shows and prime time main stage slots at Coachella, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits on the last campaign, the band is planning a headlining tour for 2019, including another two sold-out Red Rocks shows in July. In total, the band has performed 13 times on national television including appearances on "Ellen," "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," "Austin City Limits" and more.

Esperanza Spalding
Esperanza Spalding is typically referred to as a bassist, vocalist and composer. However, like most organisms growing in response to their environment, Spalding is emerging into something she does not yet understand, nor is able to clarify through reference or language.

Some of the primary cells directing this emergent artistic organism could be named: poetry, magic, staging, theater, opera, sound-spells, improvisation, movement, dance, bio-geometry, reiki, nothing, bad-art, fake-art, listening, smells, dream-talk, dialogue, demonic therapy, cat-tongue.

Jamie Lee
Jamie Lee is a standup comedian and actress whom Elle recently named as one of the top comedians to watch in 2017. Lee most recently starred as Ali Reissen, the female lead in the second season of the hit HBO series "Crashing," opposite Pete Holmes. She started as a writer for the series' first season and will return as 'Ali' and a producer of the show for season three. In addition to being one of the core cast members of MTV's hit show "Girl Code," Lee has appeared on "Conan," "The Late Late Show with James Corden," "Last Call with Carson Daly," "Chelsea Lately" and "@Midnight." She was also the host of the TruTV series "10 Things" and the Entertainment Weekly series "Polished." In December 2016, Lee released her debut bookWeddiculous, which quickly rose to #1 on Bustle's list of best wedding books. Currently, Lee is planing a half-hour comedy at ABC Signature with James Griffiths attached to direct and executive produce, plus she is at work on her feature writing debut, produced by Burn Later Productions (Hearts Beat Loud, Drinking Buddies) in which she will star. When Lee isn't working in New York, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their dog.

Nora McInerny
A master storyteller, Nora McInerny is known for bringing heart and humor to even the toughest topics. A reluctant grief expert and "notable widow" (her words), McInerny wrote the critically-acclaimed memoirs It's Okay to Laugh (Crying is Cool Too) and No Happy Endings, hosts the award-winning podcast Terrible, Thanks for Asking, founded the non-profit organization "Still Kickin" and writes essays published in Elle, Cosmopolitan, Time, Slate and Vox. She was voted "Most Humorous" by the Annunciation Catholic School Class of 1998 and is very, very tall.

April 13, New York, NY, Town Hall

Sara Bareilles
Sara Bareilles first achieved mainstream critical praise in 2007 with her widely successful hit "Love Song," which reached No. 1 in 22 countries around the world from her debut album "Little Voice." Since then, Bareilles has gone on to receive seven Grammy nominations throughout her career, which include "Song of the Year" and "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" for "Love Song" and "Album of the Year" for her highly acclaimed third studio album, The Blessed Unrest. Her book, Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) in Song, was released in the fall of 2015 by Simon & Schuster and is a New York Times best seller. Making her Broadway debut, Sara composed the music and lyrics for Waitress, for which she received her first Tony nomination for "Best Score" and a 2017 Grammy nomination for "Best Musical Theater Album." She also made her Broadway acting debut in 2017 by stepping into the lead role in Waitress.

2018 has been a big year for Bareilles: she co-hosted the Tony Awards, was nominated for an Emmy and Grammy for her role in Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert and was awarded with the Songwriters Hall of Fame's Hal David Starlight Award. Bareilles also teamed up with Apple as an executive producer for "Little Voice" a 10-episode series, for which she will create the original music. What's Inside: Songs from Waitress, her most recent solo studio album, is out on Epic Records.

On April 5, Bareilles will release her fifth full-length and first album of original material since 2013 titled Amidst The Chaos. For this latest work she joined forces in the studio with legendary Academy Award-winning producer T Bone Burnett. As a result, the album spotlights her voice as a singer and storyteller like never before while making an enduring statement.

The Milk Carton Kids
Waltzing into disaster and its aftermath, The Milk Carton Kids' All the Things That I Did and All the Things That I Didn't Do is available now on ANTI- Records. The new project marks the first time that acoustic duo Joey Ryan and Kenneth Pattengale have brought a band into the studio with them. "We wanted to do something new," Pattengale says. "We had been going around the country yet another time to do the duo show, going to the places we'd been before. There arose some sort of need for change." "Musically we knew we were going to make the record with a bigger sonic palette," says Ryan. "It was liberating to know we wouldn't have to be able to carry every song with just our two guitars." Since their last studio album, Monterey(ANTI- 2015), life has changed dramatically for The Milk Carton Kids. Pattengale has moved to and is now producing records in Nashville. Ryan is now the father of two children and works as a producer on Live from Here with Chris Thile. A break from years of non-stop touring, Ryan says, has yielded "space outside of the band that gives us perspective on what the band is." But it's not just the addition of the band here that creates something new. National politics left Ryan feeling disoriented and mournful. Pattengale's relationship of seven years ended, and he found himself unexpectedly needing surgery for cancer (he is cancer-free now, and accidentally broke his cigarette habit in the process). Though they didn't approach the new album conceptually, a theme of shattered realities began to emerge out of the songs that sparked to life. Recent events provided a bruising background for the record, yet the project is somehow bigger than any personal grief. Two-part harmonies ride acoustic guitars high above the haunting landscape created by the presence of the band, as if Americana went searching for a lost America.

Aparna Nancherla
Aparna Nancherla started out doing comedy in her hometown of Washington, DC and now resides in New York City. 2016's Elle's Women in Comedy Issue featured her as one of the most exciting new voices to hit the comedy scene. She is a series regular in Comedy Central's
"Corporate" and has reprised her role in season 2 of HBO's "Crashing." Nancherla is also featured in the second season of Netflix's "The Standups." Other television credits include Netflix's "Master of None" and "LOVE," HBO's "High Maintenance," Comedy Central's "Inside Amy Schumer," appearing as a US correspondent for Dave's (UK) "Unspun with Matt Forde" and Hulu's "I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman." In 2018 she made her feature debut in the Paul Feig movie A Simple Favor. Her TV stand up appearances include Seeso's stand up series "Night Train with Wyatt Cenac," season 2 of Comedy Central's "Meltdown" as well as "Adam Devine's House Party." In 2013, she made her late night stand up debut on "Conan" and was one of the breakout New Faces at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Her TV writing credits include "Late Night with Seth Meyers" as well as being a regular correspondent/writer on FX's "Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell." She is also an alumna of the NBC Stand Up for Diversity program and currently headlines throughout the world and has been seen at a number of festivals including Comedy Central's Clusterfest, Portland's Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Moontower, SF Sketchfest, DC's Bentzen Ball, Outside Lands, Bonnaroo and Dublin's Vodaphone Comedy Festival. Nancherla's been featured on and in NPR, Reader's Digest, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post Magazine, XM Radio, Slate and V Magazine. She can regularly be seen performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles and New York. Her debut album Just Putting It Out There was released in July 2016 by Tig Notaro's label Bentzen Ball Records and hit #4 on the Billboard Comedy Chart.

April 20, New York, NY, Town Hall

Josh Ritter
Josh Ritter is a songwriter from Moscow, Idaho. Joan Baez, Bob Weir, and the Punch Brothers have all covered his songs. His forthcoming record, Fever Breaks, out April 26th, was recorded in Nashville and produced by Grammy Award-winning musician Jason Isbell.

Cécile McLorin Salvant
The world first learned of the incredible vocal artistry of Cécile McLorin Salvant when she won the prestigious 2010 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition. In just under the span of a decade she has evolved into a multi-Grammy Award-winner and a prescient and fearless voice in music today. Her newest release, The Window, earned the vocalist her third Grammy win in the "Jazz Vocal" category with an album of duets alongside pianist Sullivan Fortner exploring and extending the tradition of the piano-vocal duo and its expressive possibilities. When she first burst onto the jazz scene, many listeners were struck by her ability to recall the sound of Bessie Smith, Sarah Vaughan or Betty Carter, yet with each new album, McLorin Salvant's voice has become more her own, more singular. Historically, her unflinching performance of songs from the minstrel tradition challenge us to think harder about race in America today. Her ironic, even sinister, rendition of songs explore the complex intertwining of sex, gender and power. She sings of the ecstasy and agony of love, of jubilation and dejection, of desire and being desired, of fearlessness and fragility. Immersed in the song and yet completely in control, McLorin Salvant brings her immense personality to the music: daring, witty, playful, honest and mischievous.

April 27, Nashville, TN, Ryman Auditorium

Del McCoury Band
Even among the pantheon of music's finest artists, Del McCoury stands alone. From the nascent sound of bluegrass that charmed hardscrabble hillbilly honkytonks, rural schoolhouse stages and the crowning glory of the Grand Ole Opry to the present-day culture-buzz of viral videos and digital streams, McCoury is the living link. On primetime and late-night television talk shows, there is McCoury. From headlining sold-out concerts to music festivals of all genres, including one carrying his namesake, there is McCoury. Where audiences number in the tens of thousands, and admirers as diverse as country-rock icon Steve Earle and jamband royalty Phish count as two among hundreds, there is McCoury.
