New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With
Barbra Streisand considered to be one of the greatest female vocalists of our modern times, masterfully commanding her voice as an instrument, it's no surprise that Fascinating Aida's, Liza Pulman* is encouraging us to 'Sing Streisand', in celebration of World Voice Day 2019. Gifting us with her own version of Streisand's 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers', in a video specially created for the day: alongside her limited edition run of 'Liza Pulman Sings Streisand' shows at The Lyric Theatre, in London's West End.
So, whether you're a cheery 'Happy Days Are Here Again' personality or a reflective 'The Way We Were' romantic, Liza Pulman urges us all to join her to 'Sing Streisand' and turn our voices into instruments for World Voice Day. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing on World Voice Day, just choose your favourite Streisand song and sing!
"You Don't Bring Me Flowers, is one of the world's most heart-breaking songs, from one of the world's most heart-warming voices - I just had to bring this to you all, to share the power of the human voice with everyone on World Voice Day," smiles Liza.
"I grew up listening to Streisand and some have said that my voice reminds them of hers. For my 'Liza Pulman Sings Streisand' show, I wanted to investigate how it was that Streisand had somehow seeped her way into my vocal DNA. She's such an inspiration; her breath control and technique and the way she uses her voice as an instrument, using sound to break our hearts like no one else can. I'm sure we all have our own vocal instruments and I know we all have our favourite
Barbra Streisand song so that's why I want everyone to stand up and 'Sing Streisand' for World Voice Day," explains Pulman.
For those who want to hear more, you can experience 'Liza Pulman Sings Streisand' at The Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue on Monday 15th April. Tickets on sale now: https://www.nimaxtheatres.com/shows/liza-pulman-sings-streisand/

*Liza Pulman is the daughter of famous screenwriter Jack Pulman (I Claudius / War and Peace) and actress
Barbara Young (Last Of The Summer Wine / Coronation Street), which meant she grew up amid the glitz and glamour of the world of show business. She developed a huge interest and appreciation for the movies and music of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s and from an early age she performed with her sister as a close harmony duo called The Pulman Sisters in the foyers of The
National Theatre and the Royal Festival Hall.
After training at The Guildhall School of
Music and Drama, she joined the Gyndebourne Opera and went on to star alongside
Michael Ball in Chitty Chitty
Bang Bang at The London Palladium and alongside Philip Schofield in the UK tour of Doctor Dolittle.
In 2004 Liza joined the internationally renowned comedy trio Fascinating Aida and remains a member to this day and they have performed at venues across the UK including at Christmas In Leicester Square's Spiegaltent where they sang their now famous 'Christmas Song' and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where they performed their post-Brexit hit 'We're So Sorry Scotland'.
Branching out on her own, Liza developed her 'Liza Sings' shows, which led to the huge success of Liza Pulman Sings Streisand and a flurry of five-star reviews.
