First 50 Names Announced From Exciting Lineup Of Talent For August's Mile Of Music Festival
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) We're humbled that Appleton has quickly developed a reputation for being an exciting destination for live, original music and that this festival has become one that artists really want to jump in on.

Mile of Music, presented by Fox Communities Credit Union, gave fans a preview of what's to come at the popular festival this summer during its annual First 50 event at OuterEdge Stage.

With just about three months to go until original music takes over the one-mile stretch of Downtown Appleton, Wisconsin, from August 1-4, festival organizers announced 50 of the 200 acts from across the country that have signed on to perform at Mile 7. A sampling of these artists includes:

Birds of Chicago (Chicago, IL/Montreal, QC, CA)
Devon Gilfillian (Nashville, TN)
Freddy & Francine (Nashville, TN)
Muddy Ruckus (Portland, ME)
Lizzie No (New York, NY)
Natural Born Leaders (Asheville, NC)
Sunny War (Los Angeles, CA)
The Wealthy West (Memphis, TN)
Sway Wild (San Juan Island, WA)
Garth. (New York, NY)
Mile 7 is going back to its roots from the first festival in 2013, showcasing up-and-coming talent that many music fans have yet to discover. The festival will highlight several new artists - 30 of 50 in this initial grouping - and welcome acts from cities across the United States ranging from Nashville to Chicago to Los Angeles.

"Every year when we open up our artist submission process, it fills almost immediately," said Dave Willems, president of Willems Marketing & Events and executive producer of Mile of Music. "We're humbled that Appleton has quickly developed a reputation for being an exciting destination for live, original music and that this festival has become one that artists really want to jump in on."

Also included in the First 50 announcement, festival organizers shared that past Mile favorite, New York-based Wild Adriatic (Miles 2-5), will return and that Jones Park will re-open for music with a new main stage after the location underwent significant renovations last summer. Fox Communities Credit Union was also recognized as Mile of Music's new presenting partner for 2019. The organization has been a long-time sponsor of the community-modeled, grass roots festival since it began and has expanded its commitment to help keep Mile of Music free and accessible to all attendees.

Mile of Music's 900 live performances are available to the fans and community at no charge, a rare occurrence among music festivals today. Music-Makers subscriptions are also available for a select number of exclusive or preferred shows during the festival and include year-round perks.

Another 150 acts will be announced in the weeks leading up to the summer festival. To check out the line-up of artists and any news related to Mile 7, visit https://www.mileofmusic.com.
