'Noraa', A New Artist With Elektra Records France, Drops First Single 'Lie To Me'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) In true fairy tale fashion, singer-songwriter "Noraa" went from being a first-grade school teacher to a major label recording artist. In 2017, the Afro-German native with a vibe that is a cross between early days Sade and modern day The Weeknd, was discovered and signed as an artist to WMG's Elektra Records, as a songwriter to Universal Music Publishing Group, and as a performer to Live Nation - all in France. After a global search for her 'sound', Carlos "Los Da Mystro" McKinney came on board to produce four songs, including Noraa's debut single "Lie To Me". Los is known for creating hit songs with superstars including "Trading Places" by Usher, "Walking on the Moon" with The-Dream featuring Kanye West and "My Love" with The-Dream Featuring Mariah Carey. Together they launched Noraa's debut song and set their sights on coming to America with Elektra to find the best American record label partner for her career.
"I've worked with superstars like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Maria Carey and Chris Brown," said Los. "Noraa's distinct voice, point of view as a modern-day woman and vivid songwriting makes her a very special artist," he added.

The first single from her upcoming debut EP, "Lie to Me", dropped on April 26. The song is a springboard for Noraa's interesting take on love that is both cynical and dramatic - beautiful and scary - honest and unpretentious. Noraa's view can be summed up in the words of her favorite poet, Charles Bukowski, "Find what you love and let it kill you."
"This is an exciting day for me," said Noraa. "Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of writing and singing my songs for the world. I thank my entire team for helping me tell the world why you should laugh when it feels like love is breaking your bones," she added.

Born to a German mother from Cologne and an African father from Chad, Noraa grew up listening to her father jam on the guitar to the sounds of African music. Today she starts her journey toward her place in global R&B music history.
