New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Fresh off the back of 600,000 online streams, Nova Scotia, Canada native Mitchell Bailey goes transatlantic on new single 'Hold That Down', bringing UK rapper Skatta on board, showing the the nuclear fusion as the two join forces.

All menacing atmospherics and minimal production turned out by Nookie Beats, the beat snapped the rest of the track into existence, immediately capturing Bailey's imagination and lighting the fuse on a powerful Canada/UK alliance.

"After hearing the beat, I instantly wrote my parts for the track, and the hook just came naturally," said Bailey, who has amassed over half a millioned combined streams and whose trademark breathless flow goes toe to toe with Skatta's no-frills delivery.

Fresh from his second consecutive nomination at the East Coast Music Awards, where 'Season One' was up for 2019's Hip-Hop/Rap album of the year, Bailey is now eyeing a return to the Canadian iTunes Hip-Hop Charts, where his last two releases have peaked at #4 and #6 respectively. Mitchell has headlined three tours across Eastern Canada, along with being featured on various showcases during SXSW in Austin, A3C in Atlanta, NXNE in Toronto and POP Montreal.

'Hold That Down' captures some authentic British influences, as Bailey explains"We thought the production had various similarities to UK grime, which we were listening to lots at the time, along with conveniently coming across Skatta's music. I reached out, he enjoyed the record, sent me his verse back within the next few days and the rest was history."

Hailing from Coventry, UK, Skatta has built a reputation as one of the country's most exciting cross over MCs, leading to a guest appearance on BBC 1Xtra where host Sian Anderson called him "one of my favourites to ever do it".

There's a lot to be excited about and Bailey is braced for impact: "We're both extremely enthusiastic about this across-the-pond collaboration. I think it's really about to turn some heads and make some noise."
