New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Holmeswood pays homage to George Michael releasing brand new covers of "Father Figure" and "Freedom! '90". Both songs are being released in the weeks leading up to George Michael's birthday on June 26. First, "Father Figure" releases on Friday June 14, (also prior to Father's Day, Sunday June 16). "Freedom! 2019" releases on Friday June 21. For "Father Figure", Holmeswood brings a techno EDM spin to the 1987 chart topping ballad. "Freedom! '90" gets a 2019 EDM House music reinterpretation with a faster BPM making it very summer dance floor rave ready.

Originally written by George Michael, "Father Figure" was the 4th single released from his 1987 chart topping debut solo album "Faith". Also written by George Michael, "Freedom! 90" was one of his most successful songs released in 1990 which also featured the iconic music video starring supermodels of the 1990s Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatiana Patitz, Christy Turlington, and Cindy Crawford. For both "Father Figure" and "Freedom! '90", Holmeswood collaborated with his longtime music production team; Argentinian pianist / composer / producer Dario Boente (Antonio Sanchez, Ronny Jordan, Fernando Otero, Joshua Thompson, Pablo Aslan, Mark Whitfield and others); with vocals recorded by and co-produced with Eric Jayk (Sandra Bernhard's Rock Band and her off-Broadway Show, "Everything Bad, & Beautiful", Wildstreet, Astra The 22s, and others).

Christopher Wood Holmes (a.k.a. 'Holmeswood'), is an American pop-rock singer/songwriter, actor, artist, director and producer. In 2008, he made his live stage debut as the vocal performer "Holmeswood" at the New York International Guitar Festival's "Bob Dylan Song Contest." When Holmeswood took the stage at the legendary Bitter End on Bleecker Street in NYC he brought the house down performing a pop version of Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone". From there he was selected as one of the finalists to perform at the Arts World Financial Center-Winter Garden.
Stay tuned... in addition to new original music, Holmeswood has another multi-song cover project in the works.

"Father Figure" and "Freedom! '90" are available on iTunes, CD Baby.com, and all other major music platforms.
