New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Canadian country star Chad Brownlee released his major label debut EP, Back In The Game, via Universal Music. The EP, produced by Todd Clark (James Barker Band, The Reklaws), includes the #1 radio chart-topping hit, "Forever's Gotta Start Somewhere".

"Back In The Game has a few different colours to it," says Brownlee about the new EP. "Songs like 'The Way You Roll' and 'My Revival' lift you up to a feel-good place, while 'This Old Guitar' and 'Bourbon' will pull at your emotional heart strings and take you on a deeper journey. I've definitely been on a journey myself over the past three years which has led to a lot of songwriting inspiration."

Alongside Back In The Game, Brownlee has also dropped the music video for the EP's third single, "The Way You Roll". Directed by Ben Knechtel (Silent K Productions), the video features Toronto lifestyle influencer Erin Fahey and Brownlee stranded on an island questioning what's real and what's a mirage. The fun, upbeat video showcases Brownlee's sense of humour.

"It feels like Ben and I are on a real "roll" with these videos, as this was quite possibly the most fun I've had on a video shoot to date," shares Brownlee. "The song is light-hearted and so were our spirits as all of us were immersed in the magic of Jekyll Island, Georgia. When I sat down with Gordie Sampson (Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan) and Tawgs Salter (Hunter Hayes, Walk the Earth, Scott Helman) to write this song, I wanted to write a song that made people feel like they were on a beach even if they weren't actually standing somewhere with sand between their toes."

In late 2017, Brownlee made a monumental business decision to have a new start by signing with Universal Music Canada, and the new Canadian management company, Starseed Entertainment (James Barker Band, The Reklaws, and Jade Eagleson), led by Shannon McNevan (co-founder of Boots and Hearts and WayHome Music & Arts Festival) and Don Green (former President of the Canadian Country Music Association).

Brownlee's first major label debut single, "Dear Drunk Me", hit #2 on the Canadian Country music charts, marking his first ever Top Five single. His second single, "Forever's Gotta Start Somewhere", is about making that bold first move in introducing yourself to someone new. Since its release earlier this year, this single hit #1 on Canadian country radio, solidifying Brownlee's return with the signature sound that fans know and love - with a fresh new flair. This single is also a fan favourite sitting amongst the top (#2) of most streamed Canadian country songs in Canada in 2019 thus far (with over 10 Million global streams - 4.4 Million in Canada alone). Brownlee is the second only domestic signed artist ever to be featured on Spotify's "Hot Country", (the world's largest country playlist) elevating his overall global streams to 47 Million.

Once a Vancouver Canucks draft pick, now a critically acclaimed country music star, Chad Brownlee is no stranger to the country music world. Brownlee first entered the limelight with the release of his self-titled debut album in 2010 which features fan favourites "Hood Of My Car" and "Carried Away". 2011 saw Brownlee winning the CCMA Rising Star Award, lifting him into the upper echelons of the Canadian country music scene. This led him to his albums Love Me Or Leave Me in 2012, where he then celebrated the successful release of his sophomore album by hitting the road with GRAMMY nominee Dierks Bentley across Canada. Brownlee continued this momentum by building one of Canadian country music's most passionate fan bases through his next two albums - The Fighters (2014) and Hearts on Fire (2016). His catalogue of albums contains a plethora of fan favourites and radio hits like "Love Me Or Leave Me" and the recently Gold Certified "I Hate You For It" - proving the steady stream of love for Brownlee's sound and words. Brownlee holds numerous accolades including a highly coveted JUNO nomination for Country Album of the Year and consecutive Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Award nominations for Male Artist of the Year (2012, 2013, 2017, 2018), Fan's Choice Award (2017, 2018), Album of the Year (2016) among many more.

Chad Brownlee has spent the past few years writing, drawing, hiking and getting rejuvenated between his cabin in Gibson, British Columbia with his dog Ellie, and Nashville, Tennessee writing and recording. In partnership with the CFL and TSN Thursday Night Football, Brownlee is scheduled to perform on the CFL Thursday Night Halftime Show in Saskatchewan on August 1.
