NEW JERSEY (njfolkfest.rutgers.edu) - Spook Handy will return to the New Jersey Folk Festival as a feature performer and workshop facilitator. At 10:30AM, Spook will lead a workshop on "The Music of Pete Seeger" with guest performer Pete Curry on banjo and acoustic guitar. At 12:15, Spook will perform a solo set of originals including some new tunes from his upcoming CD.

The New Jersey Folk Festival is free to the public and will run from 9:30AM - 6:00PM on the lawn in front of Eagleton Institute at Douglas College in New Brunswick, NJ. The theme of this year's 31st annual festival is a celebration of 100 years of Norwegian independence. Norwegian artists, musicians and craftspersons will permeate the event. Also on slate to perform are Joe Glazer, Bob Norman, Jim Albertson and Roger Dietz. On average 15,000 people visit the festival each year.
