PJ Morton Releases New Album "Paul"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, PJ Morton releases new studio album PAUL, his fourth LP since moving back home to New Orleans in 2016, starting his own record label, earning five fresh Grammy nominations and this year's win, and abandoning the once resolute ambition to end his solo music-making, instead arriving at what he calls "the purest form of who I am" with PAUL.
Read more about the story of how PJ got back to being Paul in The Wall Street Journal, and look for him on Spotify's New Music Friday Billboard in Times Square.
Listen to the album (out via Morton Records / EMPIRE), featuring Tobe Nwigwe, Jazmine Sullivan, Rapsody, JoJo, and CNN commentator Angela Rye, who closes out the record on the poignant and political "MAGA?"
Watch the music videos for singles "Ready" and "Say So" feat. JoJo.

Morton wrote all the songs on PAUL himself, creating it in a matter of days in his New Orleans studio. Along with questioning the timeline of America's greatness, and using his "buttery-smooth vocals" (The New Yorker) to celebrate compassion and childhood, he encourages black and oppressed minorities to take ownership of their neighborhoods on "Buy Back The Block," paying tribute to Nipsey Hussle along the way. This past spring, Morton revealed his plans to restore the home of New Orleans' forgotten father of jazz, Charles "Buddy" Bolden, enriching Bolden's legacy by rehabilitating the double shotgun property into both a museum and music clubhouse for kids.

Today, PJ Morton also announces his North American PAUL Tour, adding 23 US shows to his already extensive, international run of dates, including LA's Belasco, New York City's Webster Hall, multiple performances in Louisiana and more. For first access to tickets, fans can sign up for the special artist pre-sale, which begins at 10am local time this Monday, August 12th. Public on-sale starts 10am local time on Friday, August 16th, and full dates are below.
