Lana Del Rey Releases New Song "Looking For America" In Response To The Recent Shootings In California, Ohio, & Texas
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Lana Del Rey releases new song "Looking For America" written in response to the recent shootings that occurred over the past few weeks in Gilroy, California, Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas. All proceeds from "Looking For America" will go to the Gilroy Garlic Festival Victims Relief Fund, the Dayton Foundation, and the El Paso Community Foundation. Details about the foundations below.

Del Rey released the following post this past Monday along with an in-studio version of "Looking For America" on her Instagram page.
"Hi folks came back early from Montecito with my brother this morning and asked Jack Antonoff to come into town because I had a song on my mind that I wanted to write. Now I know I'm not a politician and I'm not trying to be so excuse me for having an opinion- but in light of all of the mass shootings and the back to back shootings in the last couple of days which really affected me on a cellular level I just wanted to post this video that our engineer Laura took 20 minutes ago. I hope you like it. I'm singing love to the choruses I recorded this morning. I'm going to call it 'Looking for America.

GILROY GARLIC FESTIVAL VICTIMS RELIEF FUND:
The Gilroy Foundation, a non-profit that's been operating for decades in this southern Santa Clara County city, has established a special fund to benefit victims of the shooting.

DAYTON FOUNDATION:
The Dayton Foundation is accepting funds to help those affected by this tragedy, including by covering medical costs and funeral arrangements. With nearly a century-long track record of philanthropy, the Foundation is today the Dayton region's largest community foundation.

EL PASO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION:
The El Paso Community Foundation has launched the El Paso Shooting Victims' Fund to cover medical costs and funeral arrangement costs of victims of the attack. The Foundation has served the El Paso area for more than 40 years.
