The New York Conservatory For Dramatic Arts Announces The Launch Of New York Conservatory Productions
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "'You Can't Change Anything About This' is a thought-provoking short that represents the New York Conservatory Productions' goal of providing opportunities for new graduates, while creating compelling entertainment and content that will appeal to contemporary audiences." The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA) today announced the launch of New York Conservatory Productions, a new initiative focused on film development, production and promotion. Created as a platform for the school's alumni to develop and showcase storytelling through film, New York Conservatory Productions is introducing its first short entitled "You Can't Change Anything About This."

"We are thrilled to launch New York Conservatory Productions," said Richard Omar, president and artistic director at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. "It's a springboard for The New York Conservatory's alumni to launch into storytelling on the big screen - all with the support and resources of the college behind them. Whether through acting, development, directing or production, our goal is to help The New York Conservatory's incredibly talented graduates get their stories out there and seen at some of the most well-known international festivals and forums. We are very proud of this new venture and look forward to showcasing films that capture storytelling in its finest form."

"You Can't Change Anything About This" tells the story of a brother and sister who must come to terms with their grandfather's illness. Filmed in Goshen, NY, this short film features The New York Conservatory alumni:

Niamh Quirke as Robin: Quirke is an Irish actress most known for her 2007-2016 role as Rachel Brennan in the Irish soap opera, "Fair City." Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, she moved to New York, NY in 2016 to study acting at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Currently, she's working on a music video for the UK artist, Frankie Swain.

Gage Brunton as Tom: Brunton is an American actor based out of New York, NY. Born in Nashville, Indiana, he moved to New York in 2016 to pursue an education in acting at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Currently, he's working on various stage and film productions in NYC.

Will Cecil, writer/director: Cecil is an award-winning writer/director based out of New York, NY. Born in Kansas City, KS, he attended Olathe Northwest High School where he studied Entertainment Filmmaking/Production and graduated from The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in 2017. His work includes titles such as Heather Smiles, As Though Lost, and /Void/.
