Taking Back Sunday Classic Gets An Indie-electro Makeover From I Fight Fail
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) When you're a band with members raised on early 2000's emo/punk rock, it's only a matter of time before your rehearsal turns into a jam session of "Cute Without The E" by Taking Back Sunday. Today, the Canton, OH-based trio I Fight Fail have officially released their electro-rock take on the 2002 emo classic.

"We ultimately decided to cover this song because it was a track that shaped our youth and still it's a great song," says vocalist/bassist Andy Potter. "We didn't want to just make it a copycat cover, we wanted to take it and give it a little of the modern hip hop edge mixed with the pop rock style. We love the way it turned out and hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do."

The cover maintains the infectious melodies and bouncy rhythms that made the original so great, while giving it an electro-pop facelift. The alternative/pop punk song is drowned in synth and chorus, then wrung out to leave you with the sincere and melancholic words that you've been screaming for the last 17 years.

I Fight Fail independently released their debut EP Move Me in early 2014. Their first single "Nothing Bleeds" was broadcasted in Journeys shoe stores across the country and caught the attention of Standby Records. In the fall of 2016, the label released I Fight Fail's sophomore effort Voyages & Vantage Points. An EP that generated buzz among tastemakers and music critics alike, landing them on the independent Billboard charts and once again receiving hype from Journeys. With two EPs and two music videos under their belt, they parted ways with Standby and independently released their most successful single to date, "Silhouettes," in early 2018.

I Fight Fail's electronic, space rock sound has led them to play on stages with Machine Gun Kelly, Hawthorne Heights, Red Sun Rising, Nothing More, Pop Evil, and many other nationally recognized acts.
