New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Beatrock Music, an artist-driven, independent West Coast Hip Hop record label announced their entire lineup for their 10 Year Anniversary concert. Since 2009, the label has released a prolific catalog and has amassed a dedicated fanbase around the globe. To celebrate their 10 Year anniversary, Beatrock
Music will host an all-day music festival, partnering with community organizations to produce programming fit for Hip Hop fans of all ages.
"I started the label to help artists spread their messages of community activism and social justice - themes that were ingrained in the original clothing brand Beatrock." said Eric "Fatgums" Strand, Beatrock Music's Founder and CEO. "It was a way for us to create good music, with a good message. As it has always been, but now on a larger scale, Beatrock
Music is a platform for cultural work. It's a platform to use the arts to bring about positive change in our world."
A label born out of Los Angeles, with strong ties to Long Beach and the Bay Area, Beatrock
Music has grown into one of the most fruitful and culturally forward record labels in the Underground Hip Hop game, known for music that is progressive in message, with a sound that celebrates the Hip Hop 'golden-era' of the 1990s. With artist/activist Bambu serving as the label's president, Beatrock
Music continues to center communities of color.
Fans can expect a day of music and arts programming, with live performances from Beatrock
Music artists including: Klassy, Ruby Ibarra, Bambu, Prometheus Brown, Rocky Rivera and more. Parents are welcome to bring kids and can enjoy the live-art activation led by artist Bodeck Luna. Attendees can also enjoy food and merchandise for purchase from local artisan vendors. The 10 Year Anniversary will also feature local community organizations, utilizing the event to amplify the work and increase the impact of each organization's mission.
"As Beatrock
Music has grown, so have our families and our communities. This collective of artists are fueled by the symbiotic relationships we have with our respective communities and we want this day to celebrate that. Family and community are at the core of our values, so it's only right that we celebrate both at our festival." said Bambu.
As an added treat, the concert will feature a special guest performance from G. Yamazawa. He is a
National Poetry Slam Champion, Cultural Diplomat for the Department of
State and Kundiman Fellow. With his work, G challenges the American perspective of race & culture, poetry & rap, and the phenomena of the human condition. G. Yamazawa has been featured on ABC, NBC, NPR, PBS, and has toured over 200 universities both domestic and internationally.
"As an organizer of this year's festival and a Hip Hop fan, one of the highlights of our anniversary lineup is North Carolina's own, G. Yamazawa. He embodies what our label is about, and his skills as an emcee are incredible. With a progressive scope in his work, we're honored that he would share the stage to help us celebrate this momentous occasion." said Bambu.

Music 10 Year Anniversary celebration takes place on Sunday October 6, 2019 (12pm-8pm). All ages are welcome. Tickets are available at BeatrockMusic.com
