Ethereal Dream-pop Duo Me Not You Shares 'Sun Will Rise' Single!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "The guitar-backed song details what it's like to struggle through immense pain while faking a smile for the rest of the world."

Billboard

"Relief" is a crunchy, high-powered pop-rock track with late-'90s overtones. A powerhouse track in the tradition of Garbage and Republica, it makes a great impression for its creators, the NYC duo Me Not You."

Stereogum

"Me Not You, the New York duo of Eric Zeiler and Nikki Taylor, made their entrance at the end of 2016 with the astonishing "Bulletproof." As they release their collected output so far on the Reckoning 1 EP, they talk us through its six songs, how they got here and where they're headed next."

The Line Of Best Fit

"'Relief' is a serrated slab of scuzzy 90s rock (suitably reflected in the video) sweetened by the singer Nikki's vocals: a purr in the verse and a chorus that snarls. Apparently it's a song about getting kicked out of Catholic School and the sense of catharsis and yes, relief, that came with that."
Noisey

"Brooklyn band Me Not You make you nostalgic for the early 2000's pop-punk sounds and authentic songwriting of alternative rockers."

Earmilk

New York-based alternative dream-pop duo Me Not You have shared their single 'Sun Will Rise' via MNY Music. The track is lifted from their upcoming debut album Already Gone which will be released on 8 November. Me Not You have garnered press support from a plethora of publications including Billboard, Stereogum, The Line Of Best Fit, Noisey, Earmilk and many others. They have racked up nearly 6 million Spotify streams and nearly 500 thousand Soundcloud plays, and have twice hit #1 on the Hype Machine Charts. They toured alongside Gary Numan on his USA and Canada tours, including dates at the historic Fillmore in Brooklyn, and the esteemed Brooklyn Steel in NYC.

Spackled in fuzz and reverb and dragged through the muddy East River, Me Not You are an ethereal garage-pop outfit birthed by New York city itself. Following up on their two highly successful EP's Reckoning and Reckoning 2, Nikki and Eric prepare to unleash the next wave with their latest single 'Sun Will Rise.'

Aside from their devotion to Lou Reed and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Me Not You cite influence from a wide variety of genres and artists including Radiohead, Aphex Twin, and Pixies. Their sound embodies elements of Sisters of Mercy's deep gothic basslines, blended with the vocal spell castings of Siouxsie Sioux or Blonde Redhead.

Incorporating industrial rhythms, modern glam and other organic elements, 'Sun Will Rise' quakes with an energy that's simultaneously exhausting and gratifying. The track sees Nikki's vocals showcased in an expansive layer across the pacy soundscape, tempering heavier gothic-alternative influences with a softer dream-pop feel.

Nikki gives some insight into the track: "Our past few singles followed me down to my lowest point, dealing with loss and change while endeavouring to find love and beauty in it. I lost my grandmother last summer, and it hit me hard. Sun Will Rise is my journey out of the darkness, finding hope in the realization that no matter what transpires during the night, the sun will rise again."
