Seoul, Korea/New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Cube Entertainment's (G)I-DLE today release their highly stylized and creatively produced music video for their hit song, "LION." The teaser for 'LION' released on Friday, November 1, has already enjoyed over 1.5 million views over this weekend and since the video was released one hour ago, there are almost half a million views and counting!

Following (G)I-DLE's release of the song last week and their live performance of 'LION' on October 31 on the finale of Queendom, the video has been viewed almost 2.5 million times via YouTube after only one day. The performance trended at #1 in Korea and many other countries.

During their tenure on the hit show, (G)I-DLE amassed millions of new fans and were broadly recognized as the "Ones to Watch" on the kpop horizon. Their grace with edge, creative abilities in songwriting and producing and their enticing live performances is quickly establishing the group on the world stage.

Soyeon noted that when she was composing the song, she was inspired by the legendary 'LION KING' She said, "Since lions are kings, we are kings".

With the release of a Halloween version of 'LION' and a Twitter update from (G)I-DLE posting "LION IS BACK", NEVERLAND, (G)I-DLE's fan base, expressed their love for "LION"
"After the performance, I can officially say that (G)I-DLE can bring a new change and a new face to girl groups in the kpop industry."

"This is exactly how I imagined the vibe of the stage to be like. Very animalistic and majestic. I also pictured Lion King when I first heard the song, and now I know it was intentional since Soyeon said she was inspired by Lion King. Great stuff by (G)I-DLE. They're a group to watch for."

"Whenever I listen to the lyrics of the song I think that this is about their journey in Queendom Starting strong, falling, despair then using despair to comeback strong and end with a huge roar Latata>Fire>Put It Straight>Lion"

"WOW just WOW. Thank you (G)I-DLE for being who you are in this performance. This song is masterpiece, best from another level. Well they are always spoiling us by their improvement of stage presence. Talented and they delivered it well. I'm stan queen"

The performance of "LION" was a symbolic ceremony for a queen who had returned to her 'queendom' after winning the war. The powerful dance and the charismatic performance featured all six members in long red, majestic velvet robes and gold ornate nails.

The final performance was symbolic of a welcoming ceremony for a queen who's won the war and returned home with glory. The performance began with Minnie's narration followed by the band in beautiful golden robes. The highlight of the final performance was Soyeon's powerful solo dance and rap. The choreography represented the movement of lions and the putting on of tiaras. Throughout the competition, (G)I-DLE proved themselves to be creative and passionate artists by exuding confidence in their presentations and performances. In addition, they showed their artistic abilities in edgy songwriting and production which is unique to an all-female K-pop group. (G)I-DLE was also praised for their outstanding charm and manners as well as their performances by the other competitors who commented that the band has created a new genre called '(G)I-DLE.'

Leader Soyeon adds: "We have put everything that stands for ((G)I-DLE in the final, including our thoughts, genre, and performance. It has been a wonderful 10 weeks for (G)I-DLE and fans worldwide. I'm so happy that I was able to create what I always wanted to do with my members. I think I grew to another level as an artist throughout the competition. I'm very grateful for all the support and love from the fans."

Queendom is a reality girl group survival show, created by Mnet. In the first round, (G)I-DLE finished in first place after performing their hit song, "Latata". The intro of that performance was done by Minnie as a Thai enchantment. Fans made the performance a viral conversation. In the next round, (G)I-DLE got nostalgic by reinterpreting 2ne1's 'Fire' with their own modern twist. That performance exceeded 13 million YouTube views. (G)I-DLE also performed a 'Nightmare Version' of "Say No/Put It Straight" on the 3rd round of the competition and that performance and episode received over 5 million YouTube views solidifying the band's popularity and appeal.

(G)I-DLE are being continuously praised for the way they conduct themselves on the show even in the midst of heavy competition from the other participants. They are the clear fan favorite and the show has succeeded in helping grow their fan club, Neverland to much higher numbers.

As (G)I-DLE continues to create this tidal wave of dedicated fans, their SPOTIFY followers just hit 1 million with the social platform, Instagram growing every day, now at 3.4 million followers. Pandora is also growing with over 23K streams thus far.
