New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Last night, Grammy Award-nominated multiplatinum artist JULIA MICHAELS brought out close friend SELENA GOMEZ for a surprise performance of her song "Anxiety," at The Fonda Theatre in LA during JULIA'S Inner Monologue Tour.

"Anxiety" was originally featured on JULIA'S critically acclaimed EP Inner Monologue Part 1, which she released earlier this year. The performance marked the first time the duo performed the song for a live audience, and comes on the heels of Selena scoring her first #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart with "Lose You To Love Me," which she co-wrote with Julia, and Justin Tranter. "Lose You To Love Me," marks Julia's second #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 as a songwriter.

GRAMMY Award-nominated singer and songwriter Julia Michaels has transformed the pop music landscape not only from behind-the-scenes as one of the most in-demand songwriters, but in the spotlight as a solo artist as well. Her rapid rise can be attributed to identifiable honesty in every lyric, as exemplified in her triple-platinum selling debut and 2019 Grammy nominated single "Issues." As a songwriter, Julia has co-written 22 titles that have charted on the Billboard Hot 100, including two that rose to number 1, and twelve that have hit the Top 40.

This year, Michaels released Inner Monologue Part 1 and Inner Monologue Part 2, a series of critically acclaimed EP's. Upon arrival, Inner Monologue Part 1 debuted at #1 on the iTunes Pop Albums Chart and #5 Overall iTunes Albums Chart. An enviable touring resume, she has joined artists like Maroon 5, Keith Urban, Shawn Mendes, Niall Horan, and P!NK, around the globe. MICHAELS is currently on the second leg of her first-ever headline tour, The Inner Monologue Tour, with dates throughout the U.S.

Most recently, Michaels once again joined forces with Selena Gomez co-writing her new singles "Lose You To Love Me"-which just went #1 on The Billboard Hot 100, and "Look At Her Now." She also co-wrote and features on JP Saxes' single "If The World Was Ending," and Jordan Davis for a new collaboration titled "Cool Anymore."
