Yamaha Showcases Innovative Products At PASIC 2019 With Top Artist Performances, Clinics And Industry-Focused Seminars
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "For nearly four decades, Yamaha has supported the Percussive Arts Society to enhance music education initiatives around the world and inspire creativity and individual expression with innovative drum and marching products," said Steven Fisher, director of drum & percussion, Yamaha.

Yamaha Corporation of America, a Percussive Arts Society member since 1981, today introduced two new drum and percussion products at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. In addition, the company will also be showcasing dozens of Yamaha Artist performances and clinics.

New Products
EAD10 V.2 firmware update - The EAD10, the first-ever stand-alone acoustic drum module system, allows users to mic acoustic drums in seconds, record performances without purchasing or setting up expensive equipment and share them easily from their mobile device. With the new firmware update, drummers will now be able to access an added TalkBack feature, three new general settings, extended recording duration, a click output function, as well as the option to add 42 new SCENES optimized for triggers in a low volume setup.

CB-7024 Concert Bass Drum and BS-5100 Concert Bass Drum Stand - The new CB-7024, the smallest concert bass drum offered by Yamaha, and the BS-5100, which replaces the BS-5000, were crafted for elementary and middle school music programs. The bass drum includes a Darkwood stain finish that matches other Yamaha concert bass drums and concert toms, a shell made with the company's unique Air-Seal System and a REMO drumhead. The stand was designed to fit a variety of concert bass drums, ranging from 24" to 36" models, and is height adjustable.

Additionally, the FP9 Series bass drum pedals, Live Custom Hybrid Oak drum set, Crosstown Advanced Lightweight Hardware and OSM Series concert snare drums will be showcased.

This year, Yamaha will represent the show with impressive clinics and demos from a diverse roster of artists. Some highlights include performances by Susie Ibarra (Composer, Percussionist and Sound Artist), Jimmy Chamberlin (Smashing Pumpkins, Jimmy Chamberlin Complex), Tommy Aldridge (Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne), Sarah Thawer (Session/Touring Artist), Dafnis Prieto (Composer, Bandleader and Educator), Antonio Sanchez (The Pat Metheny Group, Session Artist), Brian West (Texas Christian University Percussion Ensemble), Shilo Stroman (Colorado State University Percussion Ensemble) and an All-Star Percussion Ensemble Concert led by James Campbell (University of Kentucky). Troy C. Wollwage, marketing manager for Yamaha Percussion, will be providing a professional development session.

Additionally, attendees can participate in various sessions run by Yamaha Artists including Salsa Percussion FUNdamentals with Michael Mixtacki and Jesse Willis, a marching panel discussion focusing on pageantry auditions with Iain Moyer, a marching workshop with John Mapes and Education FUNdamentals with Rob Sanderl.

To support music educators in the percussion community, Yamaha will be talking with leading percussion educators during PASIC about who or what has helped them on their teaching path. Yamaha will be sharing these stories and insights with fellow educators in the Yamaha Music Educator Community on Facebook and in the Yamaha Educator newsletter. Educators are encouraged to sign up to receive these and many more helpful resources for music teachers. Yamaha empowers educators to build strong, thriving music programs serving their students and to help create future music-makers.

"For nearly four decades, Yamaha has supported the Percussive Arts Society to enhance music education initiatives around the world and inspire creativity and individual expression with innovative drum and marching products," said Steven Fisher, director of drum & percussion, Yamaha Corporation of America. "With a legendary lineup of Yamaha Artists, percussion ensembles and specialized workshops, attendees will be blown away by our eclectic range of performances."
