New York, NY (Top40 Charts) PLATINUM-certified independent singer, songwriter, producer, and pop visionary Lauv drops new single "Mean It" with LANY (Interscope Records/ Universal Music). The song is off Lauv's 21-track debut album, ~how I'm feeling~, set for release on March 6.

Lauv said on the collaboration, "I started 'Mean It' from the perspective of what I thought somebody might want to say to me (I'm not perfect and I'll be the first to admit it). Paul and I had been talking about working together for a long time, then one day I texted him the idea for the song and it just clicked. So we all got in the studio and had a grand ol' time finishing the record. I've been a fan of LANY for a long time, and I think it's a perfect blend of our two sounds, so I'm super stoked and honored to have this song together."

Last month, Lauv announced his debut album coming in March and released album track "Sims", alongside a music video and a remix by Miquela. The video directed by Phillip Lopez (Kygo, Selena Gomez, Liam Payne) serves as the proper visual introduction of the "Little Lauv" characters that adorn his debut album artwork for ~how i'm feeling~ and make up Lauv's "one man boyband."
In October, Lauv was also featured on the remix of BTS' "Make It Right (feat. Lauv)".

Lauv's current radio single "fuck, i'm lonely" with Anne-Marie track has over 200 million streams to date and is #35 at Top 40 radio and rising. The pair performed the song on Late Night With Seth Meyers (HERE). In addition, the track was also included on the current 3rd season of the popular Netflix show 13 Reasons Why, as well as this seasons soundtrack.

Lauv hit the road last month on his ~how i'm feeling world tour~ The 19-city SOLD OUT run hit cities in the US, UK, Europe, Australia and will wrap on November 26th in New Zealand.

LANY (pronounced "Lay-nee"), the Los Angeles-based trio comprised of Paul Klein, Les Priest and Jake Goss, crafts alternative melodic music with an R&B spirit. Releasing their first set of songs in 2014 with no social following, fans, or even photos, their take on progressive alt- pop immediately caught the attention of audiences, and within weeks their play counts were leaping exponentially.
"I've always fallen head first into any relationship," says LANY frontman Paul Klein, discussing the emotions that fuel LANY's passionate, hazy and enthralling debut album. "I only know two speeds: 0 and 100."

Trusting their instincts paid off. Six days later they got an email from a UK record label. "It was so unexpected that I thought it was spam," Paul laughs. "The next day, other labels emailed. There was only one person I knew who might know if the emails were genuine, and he [Rupert Lincoln] became our manager." Emails from across the Atlantic took a slightly surreal turn on account of the placeholder image the band had chosen to accompany their SoundCloud: as there weren't any band photos yet, they had simply used a photo they liked of Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson. "People in Europe thought the photo was of us - LANY," Paul laughs. "They kept asking: who are you, what are you, where are you, what else have you got?"

Flash-forward to the summer of 2017 and the band's debut album, LANY, peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart, with singles "ILYSB" and "Super Far" reaching 100+ million streams each. In 2017 alone, the group racked up nearly 300 million streams on Spotify and played more than 135 live shows across 28 countries.

And while it may feel counterintuitive to some for a modern band to create a full-length concept album when many view the industry as dominated by single releases, LANY views their debut album as a statement to their fans. "I understand our fan base, and I know they're starving for a bigger body of work to get lost in," Paul comments. "We're creating a world of LANY that people exist in, identify with and discover themselves through, and you can't do that exclusively in a four-track EP."

Cut to July 17th, 2018 and after a round of appearances playing Main Stage at all the major U.S. festivals, including Coachella and Governor's Ball, where their set was met with high praise by Rolling Stone, crowning the group "The Best Stage Presence," and lauding LANY's star power as "out-of-this-world," the band release the first single off their sophomore album — Thru These Tears. The euphoric anthem represented a bold step forward for the band, an arresting union of indelible hooks and raw emotion. The track was the pillar around which frontman Paul crafted the group's new record. "It's devastating but also really hopeful and optimistic," he says.

The full release of sophomore album, Malibu Nights, followed on October 5th, and was backed by a relentless 2018/19 World Tour which saw the band play *** shows, in *** countries — selling over 200,000 tickets. During this period, LANY also entered South American markets for the first time, playing Lollapalooza to exciting crowds in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, and continued to build on record-setting Australasian crowds, notably being the first International Artist to play three consecutive Arena shows at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
As the Malibu Nights era comes to a close, LANY are already back in the studio writing and recording for Album Three. With a June 30, 2020 release date slated, they're primed for a thrilling and dramatic third act.
