New York, NY (Top40 Charts) DJ Shadow and De La Soul joined forces to perform "Rocket Fuel" last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, on the heels of DJ Shadow's just-released 2XLP Our Pathetic Age. The performance marks the first time the legendary DJ and MCs have performed live together, and joined by eminent turntablists DJ Babu (Dialated Peoples) and DJ Melo D (Beat Junkies) with a 5-piece horn section.

And watch the new music video for "Rocket Fuel" - a chaotic reimagining of the controversial conspiracy theory of man's first steps on the moon - directed by Sam Pilling, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XK7nzAW_b0

Our Pathetic Age is being met with raves:
"An impressive testament to DJ Shadow's creative nomadism, uncompromising and imposing in its aggressive music" - AV Club

"Thrilling...by breaking sounds loose from the strictures of time and genre, DJ Shadow implies that the music still runs free" - Chicago Tribune

"The biggest chunk of original instrumental music he's released, and it comes with lovely, welcome surprises" - Rolling Stone

"Mr. Davis's best stretch of music in two decades" - Wall Street Journal
"Transcendent...pushes his music into new, thrilling places" - The Ringer
And read more about the album via The Ringer, Okay Player, Wall Street Journal, AV Club and Associated Press.

Our Pathetic Age represents an intensely creative period for the pioneering musician. The first suite features 11 original, instrumental tracks that include his deepest dive yet into original composition and his first fully orchestrated piece of music. The second is a full album of vocal collaborations including Pusha T, Run The Jewels, Nas, Dave East, Samuel T. Herring, Paul Banks and Wiki, Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, and Brooklyn MC Stro. Shadow also reunited with his early Solesides collaborators Lateef The Truthseeker and Gift of Gab (Blackalicious), and partnered with fellow Bay Area musicians Fantastic Negrito and Jumbo is Dr.ama.
